Changing plane tickets

I bought plane tickets through Travelocity and will not be able to travel during that time as originally anticipated. The Change Fee is I use Travelocity's customer service is $130, but I looked at the airline (USAir) website and the same ticket's change fee is $100. Is there a reason I have to cancel through Travelocity or can I just call the airline directly? I have electronic tickets and I bought them in mid December.

Read Travelocity's contract. Or, call the airline directly. That is the best way to find out what you are liable for.
