OK I have a ressie with National for next week for 133.00(with the 660030 rate) for the week. I just checked online and added a coupon i found and now the rate is 108.00. My question is can I change this online or do I have to call them to add the coupon.....orrrr should I just cancel my first ressie and book the new one. I am an emerald club member. Believe it or not....I've never rented a car before.....lol

You could try to modify it online, but I always do a new reservation and cancel the old one. I usually do this 3 or 4 times before a trip. Last time it went from $142 to $130 to $122 to $112.

I always made the new, cheaper reservation first, and when it was confirmed, I just cancelled the old one. If your first reservation was made online, it's really easy to cancel it online.

I would do it this way, too. Make a new ressie, print out the confirmation with the confirmation number. Then go back in and cancel the original one.

Make sure to do it in this order in case rates change. The system will allow you to have more than 1 ressie at a time, so you will be fine doing that way.
