After your wedding, the certificate will go back to the courthouse to be notarized (in Florida) to show that the ceremony took place. Once it is sealed by the county, they will send the official copy to you. That copy is what you will have in hand to take to the social security office and to the DMV to update your social security card and drivers license and bank account information. Once you take care of those things, most other accounts (credit cards and utilities) can be taken care of over the phone. None of the places I went to needed an official copy to keep (they just look at it or photocopy it and give you back the original). So you probably won't need any additional copies. If you do, you just have to submit the request to the courthouse in Florida along with your payment and they will send out extras (note, they don't allow you to order the extra copies until after your initial certificate is notarized after the wedding, so you can't request them when you initially apply). The whole name change process will probably take a couple months to get straight, but I didn't have any problems. Good luck!
