For any of you who have questions/uncertainties about changing a BR ressie...Here's how it went....

I was booked in Jan at the WL @$135 a night. I was really on the fence because I wanted to try the Contemporary. So, I checked online & found that they were offering BR at the CR in a standard room for $179....

I called (407) 939-7429 and told them that I wanted to switch dates & resorts. He pulled up my original ressie, then checked the availability at the CR and just switched things over. It was really quick & he was incredibly nice.

I wasn't charged a fee, I just had to pay the difference in the 1 night deposit. :cool1:

what is a BR ressie? (sorry, still getting used to this lingo!!)

It's a reservation made through the Annual Passholders site on disneyworld.com. It's a newer program that supposedly replaces the old call-in annual passholder rates....

Thanks for posting this. I just asked this exact same question on another thread. :flower:

You would have been charged the $50 fee if your new reservation ended up costing a less amount than the original.

When I originally booked the WL, I asked & asked & asked & was told that yes, the fee would be charged if my total $$$ amount went down, but there have been a few here who have downgraded &/or shortened their stay & were never charged the fee.....

Were they lucky? I don't know....I'm just happy that they made my change so easy. :flower:

and I've made 2 changes so far. Now if I could just get contemporary or WL for my dates i'd change again!

I have noticed that Best Rate availability does change, so keep checking...

Tink10-
What phone number did you use to make the changes? I don't need to change anything, but would like to link my split reservations together and verify refrigerator requests, etc. Just minor stuff.

I called (407) 939-7429

The CM I spoke with kew exactly what he was doing and it all got done very quickly. This is also the number I called to add my request..... :sunny:

I have a couple of questions. 1) I am staying at the AKL at $144 under the BR program, is anyone being quoted less? 2) I want to try to slit stay between AKL & WL, but I was told that I could not do that under BR program, has anyone heard differnet?

The lowest rate that I've seen through BR for AKL was $135 a night for a standard room in value season...... But, in 2005, before the rates go up for 2006, it may be possible to find a room a few bucks cheaper.

You can definately do a split stay....Just make your 2 ressies via the Passholder site, 1 for AKL & 1 for WL & pay the 2 deposits.......

I Hope This Helps! :flower:

Thanks for your help. I guess doing the split reservation over the phone may have been the issue because of the 2 deposits required. By the way we are going on Nov 30 - Dec 6 and the 144 a night is based on the entire amount Disney quoted me. Know that I think of it, does that include all taxes, etc??

I just checked your dates and for the first 3 nights, the lowest priced room was a water view for $172.66 a night (tax included). The WL isn't available for those 3 nights....

For your last 3 nights, neither the AKL or WL is available either, but Ft. Wilderness is for $182.86 a night (tax included)

You may want to try to make 2 seperate calls to check the availability for the 2 sets of nights. I've heard that things are really booking up quickly for late Nov & early Dec.....

I wish my change had gone as smoothly. Wanted to change from POP to AKL the last 6 nights of our stay. First CM told me that they couldn't make a new reservation for me. I told her I didn't want a new one, just to modify it. She said I had to make my own AKL ressie online and then call them and cancel the additional days at POP (AKL isn't available for all our dates.) I called back and after talking to guest services the second CM said he could do it. When he put me on hold to finish it with guest services I was cut off.
Then I called back again to make sure all was okay and found that they had modified my pOP one to only include AKL with no place for us to stay the first 2 nights and POP not available..........This CM said that guest services can only modify the hotel for the whole time or change the date, but not split stays.
So.................they modified me back to my original stay at POP. They also said I needed to make an online reservation at AKL and then call them back and modify my dates on my original reservation with POP. Of course it will look like I am downgrading my stay on that reservation even though I have upgraded my resort except thats now on an additional reservation.........
So I have made the additional ressie and now just have to call them back......I'm a little nervous about that though........almost forgot the whole thing to just stay at POP, but we love AKL ..........
