changing disneyland tickets

I have tickets that we weren't able to use on the originally selected dates. I need to change them so they can be used on a different date (higher priced tier). Can I make this change online somewhere or do I need to call?

You cannot make the change online. From what I have read, if you call, you may be offered the option to buy the new higher priced tickets and receive a refund for the original tickets. You may have to specifically ask/push for this option if you are offered no direction aside from "visit the ticket booth." They will not upgrade the tickets you have over the phone. If you go in person to the ticket booths, you should be able to upgrade the tickets to a higher tier without going through the new purchase/refund rigamarole.

I've read online that you can't upgrade the tickets to the next tier over the phone and that it had to be done in person.

The new way to approach this seems to be they make you buy the higher priced tickets online, you send them the order number and then they refund the old order.
