Changing CS credit for 3 snack credits at Resort Front desk?

Hi - I thought I had heard/read a while back that I could go to the front desk of my resort and switch CS credits to 3 snack credits in advance. Looking to use them for F&W but not at the same kiosk (would probably only get 1 or 2 items at each kiosk, so I couldn't use a CS there...) Everything I'm finding now says this has to be done at individual CS locations. Anyone know if the resort front desk would change them?

No, the front desk cannot and never has done this.

If you want to use your QS credit, you will have to get all 3 items at the same kiosk. Otherwise, you will just need to use snack credits.

We had no problem using our left over CS credits at the Confectionary on Main Street at MK. I told the CM at the register we were going to be using our CS as snacks and it was no problem. She rang everything up, and we went on our way. It worked perfect. We got 3 snacks for each CS credit.

But they still didn't just change them to snack credits that they could go out and use anywhere, right? I've never heard of the front desk doing that, and I'm not even sure how they could.

And OP will have no problem doing the same thing at F&W kiosks, but that wasn't what they were asking. Thank you for sharing that the exchange CAN be done at Confectionary, though.

I know that wasn't what they were asking, just offering a bit of my experience in exchanging. This is new to a lot of people, and I figured any experiences in it working was useful. And, you are very welcome.

There was one person here, about a year ago, who insisted that they had "always" had their QS credits converted to snack credits at the concierge desk at the resort. Nobody else ever corroborated their experience. But just keep in mind; there is often a difference between policy and procedure, between what they say they can do, and what they'll actually do for you.

I have heard several people recently who have reported being able to do this. Whether they were telling the truth, confused, given a special bit of pixie dust - Who knows. You can certainly ask at your resort whether this can be done. The worst they say is no, but it may be possible.

Earlier this month, I saw a lady adding the dining plan as she was checking in. Like I said, there's a difference between what they might be able to do for you, and what the policy says they'll do. I'll continue to quote policy.

To confirm, it is absolutely allowed to convert a QS meal to 3 snack credits, correct? The only real debate here is if the resort can do it or if the conversion must (as a rule) be done at the CS location or F&W booth, and all 3 must be used at the time of the conversion? I am strongly considering buying the QS DP for our October trip but only if we can convert some QS meals to snacks.

You are correct. QS locations, F&W, F&G booths will do the conversion for 3 snacks all at one time, or at least most of them will. Trying to change a QS into 3 snacks to be used later is highly doubtful.
