Changing Cruise Date and Pricing Tiers

It has literally been years since I have posted, so hey all! Quick question: I had thought that I read / heard somewhere in the past that if you booked early and were able to secure the lower pricing tier for your cruise, you could move the deposit from that cruise to another cruise at that same pricing tier. As I am typing this, I am wondering if it was just for the prices of categories of staterooms if you chose to upgrade after booking on the same cruise. Can anyone help clear the cobwebs in my "it has been too long since I have taken a DCL cruise" brain?

It only applies to a different category room on the same cruise. Moving to a new cruise (date and/or ship) is subject to current pricing.

This is correct. The pricing lock only applies to the same cruise.
