changing/cancelling flight question

Does anyone know how American or Alaska airlines handles this? What are the fees/policies? I can't find it on the website. I want to book for March but I'm concerned we would have to cancel/postpone trip and we won't know until Feb. or March.

At aa.com, click on the FAQ option at the top of the screen. Be warned, however, that nonrefundable tickets are, with FEW exceptions, exactly that - nonrefundable.

You MIGHT want to consider booking on Southwest if they serve any airport
