Changing avatar...lose tag?

I would like to change my avatar. To those who have lost tags, have you ever lost the tag due to changing avatars? TIA.

I just changed mine and my tags are still intact!

I never had a problem with that...just dont mess with the tags themselves. I think they have some sort of magical spell on them and if mere humans try to play with them they go POOF.
