Paul, I wondered the same about our connection with a 1 hour 30 minute change over. Apparently the airlines can't sell a connection to you that is below a minimum acceptable time frame. That said, we don't appear to have a terminal change. Has the airport got an online map/layout so you can see a bit more clearly where you need to get to and how long that walkway is likely to take?
I suppose it also depends how busy it is when you clear customs, which is the big consideration. I am not worried about ours as there are other flights after we come into EWR, but it was a consideration when I first looked at the flights.
Glad to here that it might be easier at Boston.
We've been flying via Newark for past few years and we thought that at first i.e. quieter than Orlando but to be honest EWR is a complete nightmare. Huge queues at immigration, security and miles to walk between gates....
i agree about newark - i don't know why people think it's so easy...
i find it difficult...
perhaps it's easy in comparison to JFK, but that's not saying much..
Oh please don't say that! We have 1 hour 29 minutes. That trans atlantic flight better land early or on time![]()
1 hour and 29 minutes where?
in newark or kennnedy?
it's doable at newark, completely impossible at kennedy.
i just don't like newark....and changing terminals was difficult for me....and going up and down and up and down elevators....it was confusing..
but that was because i had to change terminals and i had to drag my luggage with me because i was trying to get an earlier plane (i was flying to houston - this was last august)..
but it's doable.....immigration and customs were fast....and had i given back my luggage it would have been easier....(but i was trying to catch the earlier flight - unfortunately it turned out it was sold out)....
My brother works for TSA in terminal E at Logan... he says you'll be just fine!![]()

Logan is my home airport! Assuming your flight isn't delayed, 90 minutes should be fine. As you said, there's the walkway to Terminal A - if you get confused, just ask someone, we're a friendly bunch in Boston!
Ooh. Dont want to worry you but we've always had real problems at EWR. Huge queues at immigration and security...
Thanks. No point worrying about it. If we don't make our connection they will just have to put us on the next avaiable flight out. It would be annoying but not the end of the world I suppose.![]()
