Changing A Reservation

I have a reservation at Pop for 6 days in May and I just rented a DVC room at AKL for the last 4 of them. The online site won’t let me modify/reduce the days because Pop is showing no availability, even at rack rate. Has anyone had success calling for something like this? I’ve read that hold times are super long and I don’t want to waste my time if I’m out of luck. I was able to book the first two nights at AOA as a backup, but it‘s rack rate and my Pop reservation includes the AP discount. I already have the days reserved, I just want to drop the last 4.

I have had this issue a few times - it's 50/50 at best if a phone cm can drop your last 4 days or not. If you have the time to wait just put them on speaker and go about your day it may be worth the call. Disney implemented a new system a couple years ago to help fill rooms without 1-2 night empty gaps (most other chains already did this).

Personally I would keep looking for those two days with AP or seasonal discount at any value or moderate and see if something acceptable comes up. If it does grab those days and cancel your POP reservation, then keep checking to see if those days come up at POP and make that change.
