It's been a while since we had a thread sharing some of the things that make us happiest about our weight loss so far. You know those little accomplishments that our fellow WISHers can definitely relate to. With the holiday season upon us and temptation at every turn  I thought that posting some of the things we have noticed about our changing bodies might help to give us a little extra burst of willpower!
I'll share mine to get us started: There have been many changes I have noticed but some of my favorites are the appearance of my collar and wrist bones (who knew there were bones there? :teeth:) The fact that this Thanksgiving I was in a size 14 misses instead of a women's 20. I am now firmly in the misses department and I just love shopping again. I could try on clothes all day long now that I am not trying so hard to hide my body. :) My exercise routine has become just that - a routine! Some days I hate doing it but I always feel better when I'm done and I'm pushing my body harder than ever and it's exciting to see what my body is capable of.
So tell me what have you noticed about your body, what changes make you the happiest? Any recent accomplishments that you are especially proud of? Your WISH friends want to hear about it! :)

I'm just happy that after a brief hiatus, I am still under 150 pounds. It looks like I have really made some permenant changes, which inspires me to keep going, knowing that I can remain healthy!

Keep the Faith!

<font color=blue> I like the fact that I was able to shovel all the snow here without taking a break because I was too winded too continue. After having a cup of tea and getting my son his second breakfast ("all that snow has really made me hungry Mom"), we are off to build a snow ramp to use the toboggan on.

Woo hoo!::yes:: ::yes::

I have only been on my diet since Monday but I have already seen a few subtle changes in my body. I wore a skirt this week that was previously so tight I thought the seams were going to bust. It was still snug in the hip area but I wore an oversized sweater over it and no one was the wiser! I noticed the seatbelt doesn’t cut across my chest so uncomfortably as of yesterday. I didn’t even notice it at first but when I realized what was so different about being a passenger in our SUV, I was pleased as punch. My shoes are not as tight on my feet and I don’t know how to describe it but I actually wake up in the mornings and “feel” lighter. Usually I wake up feeling bloated and weighed down.

Also I am receiving some wonderful benefits from this changed way of life in other areas, including: I sleep better at night and don’t snore as much. My husband is happy about that one! I also don’t have that sleepy feeling in the afternoon that I have had just about every day of my adult life. I feel like I have a bit more energy and don’t want to come home after work and just plop down on the couch or take a nap.

These are the things I can think of off the top of my head. I am looking forward to weighing myself on Monday and seeing how many pounds I may have lost. I know I will have challenges to face with food and emotional eating as the days, weeks and months go by, but I have such wonderful support here on the WISH board and from my DH who is on the South Beach program with me so I know I can succeed. I know everyone else can too!!!

Fun thread.

Things I am the happiest about:

Wearing size 4/6 (prior was between 14-18).
Feeling sexy.
Going down a size in bra (was a 40, now a 38). Cup size hasn't changed unfortunately, I sure wish that would go down too!
Being able to wear jeans (I was not going to buy bigger than 16's and they were too tight.)
Putting on a size 4 and having them fit - WOW that is one huge smile maker!
Not feeling like people are looking at me and being disgusted.
Going shopping and being able to actually find things that fit and look great.

accomplishments about eating:
gaining control of obsessive eating
eating healthier things - it feels good to be concious of what I am putting in my body.
Going on vacation, having what I wanted and being able to come back and get back into the swing of things. That's a first for me!! I think that knowing that this is a lifestlye change makes it easier.

Great thread! I love reading everyones posts so far. My increased energy level is the thing I notice most. I no longer wake up foggy and can jump right into my day.

I also love the difference in my skin, must be all the water I am drinking. My clothes feel better on me and I am now able to wear a few things from my closet that I had grown out of!

I am proud of me and feeling upbeat about the changes and choices I have made so in turn that makes me more self confident.

A big ^5 to all the positives we are all noticing! Lets hear some more! :)

In the shower the other day, I looked down and saw my feet! I haven't seen my feet without bending or leaning over in 7 years! A silly little thing, but I feel so much better.
I am having a tough day, I have way overdone the carbs (but at least not any sugar!) by eating too much. However, I will be right back on track, and am looking forward NOT obsessing over the past!
I love wearing clothes I haven't fit into in years, as well as having people notice my weight loss.

My biggest accomplishments is watching the scale continuously go down. I can walk in the candly isle and not buy a thing. I am eating healthy and living well. I can live with the way I am living and losing with the way I live. So, why not continue?

I also like that I got my face back. I was looking bloated all the time and now my face has thinned out and everyone is telling me how pretty I am.

Clothes fit well, or are too big. I have a shopping bag in my closet and put all the clothes that are too big into it for donations.

I love the fact that I can shop for smaller sizes. I bought a size 14 skirt (with no elastic) for the spring. I tried it on for giggles and it fit! Not well, but I was able to button and zipper it.

The other day at work, I was in the elevator and a woman told me, that I looked fantastic. Is there anything better than that?

:bounce:

WOW! All of you are noticing such great changes in your body! Isn't it a great feeling?? You all should be so proud of yourself for the results you are seeing in your new healthy "weigh" of life! Keep up the great work, you all keep me motivated! :Pinkbounc
