Changes to reservations with the "code"

Has anyone who received the 40% off code who DID NOT have a pin code have any trouble changing or modifying their reservations? I am a little nervous now after reading a few posts on here about this. I have a reservation in October (I got the code, but did not have a PIN that I am aware of)that I will probably have to modify and I am starting to get a little nervous! Oh well, if they take away my discount, I still have my trip through AAA booked. A 15% discount is better than nothing!

Without having a PIN if one is needed, I would say your chances would be good of not getting to keep the 40% code. Always worth a try. All they can do is say no. But be prepared.

got the 40% discount w/out having one, have since changed my reservation twice w/out any questions (staying @ poly sep-oct)

i just called and had the 40% code put on my package...i just called and the guy asked me if i got a e mail or postcard...i said no and he said he would try it anyway and it worked! i got animal kingdom lodge for 3 nights, 1 day tickets (i have tickets already) and dining plan for $714.00 in september....i know they may have free dining but it would be around the same price at least i got the discount now instead of waiting and missing out.

I've always wanted to stay at AKL and Poly and almost called to change to Poly but was too afraid to.

I edited to say: I BOOKED POLY! Just a garden view but I've always wanted to stay there and would never pay w/ out such a great discount, it was only $461 more than a standard view at AKL. I was afraid to call but I decided, what the heck. And when he quoted me the price of $2951.52 w/ the dining plan I couldn't resist.

I used the "code" and got the 40% discount, then called back a few weeks later to add dining to our package and had no problems getting the "other" 40% code that works with the dining package.
I did not have a code at first, just called to see if there was any discounts out the the CM gave it to me. It was however before all the hype on this board.

The first phone call I was asked the pin # and did not place the resie since I did not have it. For my 2nd phone call, I was not asked the pin # and my resie with POFQ was placed on hold unti March 17 when I had to put a deposit on it. Then a few days later, I called back and switched to the AK and it was not a problem. I still received the 40% off the hotel.

The CM even told me that I was getting a steal. Now, I just have to see if DH can get off...

I had been trying since 2/9 and finally had it applied 3/8. This particular code has to be booked by 3/15 so do try.

I have changed my reservation multiple times and not had the 40% discount taken away. I have to say, this is the most anxiety (self-imposed!) I have ever experienced when booking a WDW vacation. There's just too many factors for me to consider....can we handle the heat/crowds, should we get DDP, what if they offer it for free, should we save the money, or should we get a more expensive hotel, and last but not least, what if a stinkin' hurricane brings some bad weather that screws up these well thought out plans in spite of all my efforts. Grrrrrr !!!

Maybe I should just go to Disneyland instead.

Ok, I'm sorta a newbie to the DIS and the world of codes. From what I've read they send out these codes/pin# what have you some private and some public. I've been hearing a lot about this 40% code and now some of you are saying you got it without having a postcard or whatever. How??

Ive changed my reservation once already by moving the days around and have been calling to try to change it to a different room catagory.The room i want isnt availble so i have to keep calling in case someone cancels thiers.Anyway in all these calls ive never been asked for the pin # or been given a problem. Which is good since i dont HAVE a pin#, lol.

Is the 40% code only for certain dates? Can a TA book with the 40% code or is this strictly a Disney thing.
