Changes to Bus transportation to Water Parks starting May 29th and Preferred Parking

I already sent an email to Disney letting them know they lost some water park ticket sales from my party.

We were going to go in July but with this new transportation stuff I was very wary of it taking 2+ hours to get to and from the water parks. We all know Disney buses are hit or miss :(

Disney is just being ridiculous in my opinion.

I had a thread here complaining about the bus changes but it got sent to the transportation board purgatory.

So basically wet, swimsuit clad people are now heading back to the parks or DTD and sharing buses park crowds....
I don't recall any dedicated water park busses, before. They always shared with a park/DTD bus anyway.
(And as a park guest it was often annoying to be wasting time stopping at a water park where no one left the bus or boarded before going to AK)

The problem now is the transfer. Having to take a second bus to BB and a second bus to TL after 1pm. And apparently the same thing going back to the resorts

I was responding to the dreaded "sharing" of a bus with park people ... which was happening before.

This can't be right. The parking fee is once per vehicle, but they're giving you one bottle of water per guest? So, if I have 15 people in a van, we each get a bottle of water?

Yeah, that is crazy. Considering they charge, what, $4 for a bottle of water? A family of 4 actually comes out ahead.

Hmmm - this brings up an issue that for some reason, I had not considered this in our overall planning... We'll be at Universal prior to Disney this summer, staying on-site, but will be visiting BB the day before we check in to our Disney hotel (after we check out of Universal). I know we should get free parking since we are staying on-site, but how does that work if we haven't checked in yet? Do we just have to pay for the day, if we don't want to take the time to go to the resort ahead of time (and if so, what is the charge for parking at Blizzard Beach)?

So, if I'm staying on-site I don't have to pay to park unless I want to park preferred, right?

@yulilin3 started a thread about the bus transportation and the preferred parking at the water parks. I'm going to merge this thread with that one.

Parking at water parks has always been free to all. As far as it sounds this is them now charging for the closest spots ... maybe a new toll booth up by the nice spots with barricades???

Am sure it was added to work in conjunction with the buses no longer going direct .... and now more cars. So lot fills up and and now the late guests have to pay to park. Brilliant!
