Resort guests wanting to go to the water parks should note the following changes:
  • Bus service to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: Resort Guests should take a bus to Disney Springs to get to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. A transfer at Disney Springs may be required after 1:00pm.
  • Bus service to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park: Resort Guests should take a bus to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park and then a bus to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park.

Do you have the return trip details?

Will the buses at the resorts still say typhoon lagoon (and just stop at Disney springs) or should we be looking for a bus that says Disney springs?

So happy that we just went to TL early in May. I might not go to all the trouble to get there by bus now. (Lazy? ...sort of, but really it's the time factor). It's just a lot of movement. We'll see by our family's next trip (2017, I hope), but ...it could change 100 times by then.

I think, not 100% sure. That you look for your resort bus stop at the water park

I think you just take the disney springs one if going to TL, you can always ask the driver

We're planning on going to BB this July and am really interested in what these new bus routes mean for LEAVING the water park. Does everyone just pile into one bus stop to head back to AK to catch a bus? The mass exodus of people between 1-3pm in the summer will be insane.

This doesn't sound like a big deal to me. Back when there was multiple downtown stops plus blizzard a lot of time was wasted waiting and going between things. This actually sounds somewhat efficient, although slightly annoying to transfer on the way back after 1

I think that from the water parks they have individual buses for each resort

Yullin3- No they don't.

We left BB today at 1, and a bus pulled up immediately. Left there at 1:02. Got to AK and transferred to a POR. What a PIA! Fortunately there was one that my daughter was able to catch and he held it for us for another minute to get there. Drove to POR. Passed back past BB 20 minutes after we left there and finally arrived back at our resort 40 minutes after leaving. Keep in mind that is 40 minutes with buses present immediately. Epically bad decision. Won't buy water parks again, Disney.

They've put a sign at our Bus Stops for Typhoon.

i hope they change back the buses soon because pile on all of these people going to the water parks from the resorts is horrible idea, or even better a bus that between the resort and water park. in fact taking an uber might be a better idea than what is going to happen.

We are going in three weeks and staying at POFQ. Any idea how much an uber/cab would run to get to the parks and back?
This seems like way too long of a wait while in wet clothes...

So basically wet, swimsuit clad people are now heading back to the parks or DTD and sharing buses park crowds....

Not all resorts follow the above. At BB there were several resorts in that area that didn't require going to AK. I'd suggest reading the boards at your resort and the water parks.

that's horrible. I thought that back to the hotels they would have direct service. Makes no sense.

I just noticed they also added preferred parking at both water parks. Now you can park for free or pay $15 to be closer to the entrance. These will be added, for Typhoon Lagoon on June 19th and Blizzard Beach June 5th

This is ridulous. First the lots there are small. Just another way to get our money. I can see here being empty rows up front all day long.

Every spot at the water parks is close to the entrance. Nothing but a money grab. :rolleyes2 I hope when people see how small the lot is at the water parks, they scoff at the idea of paying $15.
