Taking a break from work to get caught up! I am definitely living vicariously these days where WDW is concerned. Boy I miss that AP!!
I neglected to mention the last time I posted I got that same set of attraction Cover Bands that you got. I love them! I have the Small World one and DD uses the Haunted Mansion one. Ours don't have the space cut out for the Mickey head though. I guess they were having problems with the readers sensing the Mickey Head through fabric.
My comments might be a little all over the place, so bear with me.
"They are HUGE. Some of them barely fit on the road. And I don't see how that dragon doesn't set things on fire. We didn't get a photo, but it actually breathes fire. It is bada**"
I CANNOT WAIT to see this parade. I watched the DISUnplugged live broadcast of it, and was so thrilled. Even if they borrowed a couple of floats from the old Disneyland Tokyo parade. (That parade was amazing!) The concept is so cool, and so different from the parades that have run in the afternoon for the last several of years. And hello, it has a fire breathing dragon! People upset about the recycling of the Tokyo floats need to get a life. From what I understand, during the test runs of the parade, they did catch one of awnings on Main Street on fire.
"We liked the lunch. I think the food is heavy for a super hot day though. They do have a salad, I think. The desserts are always good."
They (BOG) do have a salad which is not heavy. It has warm tuna on it, and I do think it would be a better salad if the tuna were cold and raw, but that wouldn't be very French would it? The turkey samich is also not heavy and you can get the ham samich w/out the cheese which makes it not so heavy.
"It [Spaceship Earth] stopped in just as we were getting to the Rome scene. It then started back up and we continued the rest of the ride in silence. It was lame. But, what can ya do?"
What can you do? Umm...recite the rest of the audio for guests in nearby cars. You've been on it enough times you know it, right?
Actually I probably would have made up a whole new hilarious track much to the dismay of those riding in cars near me.
"DS was waaaay too cool for character photos. Or photos in general."
I'm sorry, but no one is too cool for photos with Farmer Mickey. Just sayin'.
I really want to do the Garden Grill meal. At DD's last recital they did a dance to "Cotton Eyed Joe," and of course they dressed up all country. I would love to get a picture of her in that outfit with Farmer Mickey. It would be too cute! We also want to re-create the pictures from our first trip where she was wearing her Cinderella costume with her wearing her 8th grade dance dress since that dress was Cinderella inspired. Oh, and I still want a picture of her in front of the Grand Floridian gingerbread house with her in the gingerbread costume her dance school uses for one The Nutcracker dances. We were going to do that one a couple of years ago at Thanksgiving, but she got sick when we planned to do it, and there wasn't enough time later in the trip to do it.
And what up with this random kid just smacking you?! Gracious. I get the whole meltdown mode thing, but sheesh. Good for you for fussing at her. Clearly somebody needed to.
I love the playgrounds the put up for F&G. My only compliant is they don't keep them covered, and the equipment can get really hot. It would be nice if they installed a playground for use year round. One in Future World and one over at the World Showcase actually.
So, does Monorail Hipster (aka your DS in case you forgot I named him that) not realize how gorgeous his hair is? I get the whole beanies are "cool" thing, but girls dig a nice head of hair. Why cover it up? Also, I might just have to change his name from Monorail Hipster to Monorail Hobo since he likes riding the rail. Can't say as I blame him. I love riding trains, too.
I enjoyed the Plaza restaurant when we went. I had a club samich, and immediately regretted that choice when someone near me ordered the chicken (?) strawberry salad. That thing looked yummy!
LOVE this picture!

I also love the tigers. I just want to hug and pet them! I'm sure they'd appreciate it too. So much so they'd invite me to be dinner.
So excited your DD is giving EE a chance! Can't wait to hear how that turns out!
