Changes coming to Afternoon Tea at GF

DD and I had tea at the GF on 8/18, the waiter offered us a choice of three new sandwiches(wine poached salmon, grilled veggie, or ??not sure of third choice) in place of the onion tart. DD tried the veggie one and it was an opened face sandwich with zuccini and squash with some kind of spread. She said it was good. I noticed that the chef was going around to the tables and asking for opinions from the guests. We were told there would be a new menu in a few weeks.

This was the first thread I saw when I opened the Restaurants forum. I was panicked but hoping for a change for the good. Although I love the onion tart as well, I will probably like whatever they decide to replace it with too. Not a big deal to me. We'll be there Oct. 30. I hope they still have Eros on the tea menu. Don't know what I would do if they ever decided to eliminate it. We did notice on our last visit there, more than a year ago, that the strawberry bowl was smaller than previous visits. I guess it's a cost-cutting thing. Was there anything else you noticed that was different? Thank you so much for the info!

Love the onion tart! Love the Eros tea! Love it all!

I am also in agreement that no matter what they do, it will prob still be a great experience.

I just remembered the other sandwich was a roast beef. The waiter was not specific with what they were changing on the menu, just that it would be changing in a few weeks. We were offered the choice to sample one of the new sandwiches in place of the onion tart, we did not have to. I opted for the onion tart and DD had one of the new sandwiches. Hope that clears up the confusion. If any of you are going and see the new menu, please post so that we know the changes. Thanks.
