Changed plans...

Well, I just changed the second half of our trip to SSR from BCV. We were going to be staying in a 1BR at BCV for five nts and then moving to a studio for our last nt (were waitlisted for a 1BR but I've given up on that). I was talking to my husband this morning and we decided to go ahead and switch if there was availabilty at SSR - there was! I'm actually more excited about things now, I really wanted to stay at SSR but the proximity to Epcot and Stormalong Bay made me think BCV would be better... plus our next trip is for sure going to be at SSR because we have to reserve three rooms at the 11 month mark. I thought that it would be better this trip to see something new and fresh and have SSR be completely finished our first trip there. BUT... now that it is booked I'm really happy that we changed our minds. I really didn't want to move into a studio that last nt, what a pain. Plus, my MIL is coming down and staying in our room the last few nts and it would have been really uncomfortable in a studio, even for one nt.

So here we are, 4 days left till we leave, 5 days till WDW! VWL/SSR here we come!!!

You made the right decision - switching on the last night would be a pain. And ssr is so lovely - i just made ressies for last week in October there.

Be sure you are off the waitlist for that studio. If you were on the automatic waitlist, they will fill your request and take the points out of your account even if you have another ressie for the same night at SSR.

That could be a problem if it caused borrowing points, for example -- or if you just weren't aware the waitlist had come through until you completely lost the points because you never showed up.

Thanks for the reminder! I did confirm (about three times, LOL) that she cancelled the waitlist. Hopefully someone else's waitlist for a 1BR at BCV 1/21-1/26 comes through now!
