I'll try to avoid a 'War and Peace' epic style post here and get straight to the point (something I strugle to do. See? I'm rambling already!).
Ok, our plan for 24 June to 6 July (having chopped and changed numberous times) was 6 nights at ASMo in 2 connecting rooms followed by 6 nights in 1 room at POFQ. The reason I chose 2 rooms at ASMo was the 'squish' factor... there are 5 of us, DH, me, DS11, DS8 and baby girl 15mths when we travel. But in fact, if we didn't get the AP discount I was probably going to drop the 2nd room at ASMo. Anyway, when I heard the AP discounts were out, I read the rates being offered and saw that WL standard room was going for 139 dollars per night and thought "hmmmmmm, I wonder....."
I had ruled out all deluxes as being too expensive and anyway I loved the sound of ASMo. So, in a frenzy I emailed my TA at Small World Vacations (who is a wonderful, professional, amazing woman!!!). I told her that we'd be very interested in WL instead of ASMo if we could get it for 139 (plus tax) and so, we got it!!! I am thrilled.
So now it's 6 nights POFQ followed by 6 nights WL. A part of me is wondering "hmmmmm, would All Star Movies have been great?". I mean, I bet it *is* great but is Wilderness Lodge great too? Is it fun and friendly like ASMo? I'm aware that one if a value and one is a deluxe but hey, I have no airs and graces so I don't care what 'category' something is in, I care about the vibe there and the fun factor etc.
I broke my promise, I did ramble on. So shoot me
My question is: Have I made the right decision or would the kids have had more of a blast at ASMo? Will they have a great time at WL? Is it child friendly and holiday-ish?
Thanks all! I love this board. Oh, by any chance if Marion (from Small World) is reading, I'm ducking, I'm ducking!! You must be despairing of me. I genuinely am thrilled with the AP discounts! Just checking what the folks here think
