Change resorts or not?

BC/Poly is my favorite split and what I would since you have 10 days. Bell Services will transfer luggage free. The quiet pool at BC is very quiet since everyone wants SAB so you could use that and see your kid zero issues. Boat to DHS, walk to EP IG (entering/exiting from the back is so nice sometimes) and by split staying it you’ll save a bit of cash vs your Poly nights.

My pick would be BC for sure. Although OKW has the largest DVC rooms we have never stayed there because of the location and really not many dining options, although we love Olivia’s. Walking to 2 parks, lots of dining options and sky liner access, you won’t be disappointed. Whatever you choose have a great trip!

Would you consider a split stay? We like to do a split between a studio and 1 bedroom to save points. The first few nights of vacay, we don't mind a studio/hotel room and love doing the poly for easy MK access. Then we like to move into a 1 bedroom... it's nice to spread out and do some laundry. Esp. with that long of trip I'd want a 1 bedroom at some point and it's nice to switch up the scenery/explore a new resort.

I would choose Poly hands down over the other choices.

- Great transportation to MK and Epcot. Buses to AK and DHS are rarely crowded.
- If you are in room for early night, you can watch the fireworks from the beach and then walk back to room and hop in bed. Do not underestimate this one. Our DDs would be bathed, in jammies, teeth brushed, waiting for fireworks. After show, quick to bed!!
- Also watching the EWP each night is fun for kiddos (and adults!).
- Lots of dining choices with easy transport by foot or monorail to GF and CR.
- You can easily wash clothes if needed at the Poly laundry room and use the app to keep an eye on your laundry times.
- The kids watersplash area is a great alternative for young kiddos who want more waterplay than a pool.
- Reminder that August is HOT and often has downpours. If staying BC, remember you are walking from the back of WS to the front in the morning for rides and you can get stuck in a downpour with a long walk back to your resort (no bus or monorail).
- The theming in the rooms and around the resort makes you feel like a tropical vacation within a Disney vacation.

Enjoy your vacation :beach:

I'm in the Poly camp personally. Even setting aside that it's my favorite resort, little kids tend to make trips more MK focused and for 10 days, paying the extra cash for rooms that are some of the largest regular ones on property is worth it with a small kid imo. Transportation wise it's also the most convenient of the monorail resorts, no transfers necessary for Epcot since you can walk right next door to the TTC in like 5 minutes.

If you can manage it, a Poly/BC split would be ideal and would blunt some of the cost.

Your comment, "bring on the restaurants", makes the correct answer obvious to me :)

The Beach Club.

At the Beach Club, the number of restaurants you have access to at the hotel, at the Boardwalk, the Swan & Dolphin, to say nothing of those at EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios gives you an incredible amount of options.

The only reason I'd choose the OKW would be because of the washer dryer and even that is not much, because I like laying by the quiet pool at the Yacht Club and using the laundry facility there.

The Polynesian for sure. Easy transportation, great theme, husband loves it. Great restaurants. OKW is a no because of the bus transportation only.
