Change of plans to Swan instead of AKL Concierge

Some of you followed my story of my GP's dying wish for DH and I to take DS to Disney for Halloween next year. He provided in his will for us to stay AKL Concierge because he knew it was my dream stay. Well the check from his estate is on the way as we speak, but the practical side of me took over. I decided to look into alternative, less expensive places to stay. My DH only wants inside corridors so all the values and mods were out. I started looking at the S/D and found out my DH qualified for Gov. discount. The rate was excellent and the difference between the two stays will be enough to pay off all of my existing debt (except the mortage of course). I know my GP would understand, as he tried to never be in debt. So we are still taking DS but now we are staying at the Swan and I can start the new year basically debt free!

What a wonderful gift! I'm sure he wanted you to use it wisely and totally enjoy yourself which will be much easier to do now that you are debt free. Spread some pixie dust in his memory on your trip and you will make others enjoy your grandfathers memory too!!

We just got back from the Swan and it is wonderful. The beds are so comfy. We had some friends staying at AKL at the same time, and their only complaint was that the beds and the pillows were not that great.
