Change of pace, instead of what they took away, what additions do you like best

Instead of getting watery-eyed thinking of rides gone by...how about a change of pace and lets talk about the additions they made to existing rides that we enjoy. Not so much things like adding a completely new ride like "building TSMM" or the like, but things like:
The new Peter Pan que
The Star Tours redesign

So those are two of mine, along with the new que and the cool tricks the hitchhiking ghosts do at the end of Haunted Mansion.

I really like the updates to Dumbo. The lights and water are beautiful at night . And you can't beat two spinners instead of one.

I second the Dumbo ride. This is DD3's favorite ride. She's still talking about it almost a year later. I'm so glad they made the indoor play area and doubled the ride capacity so that we're able to ride this multiple times. And yes, the lights at night are magical.

In fact, I'm a big fan of the whole fantasy land expansion. Tales with Belle is wonderful, and the Little Mermaid ride is fun too. I can't wait to try 7DMT when we go in April.

I really don't have a problem with taking out old things and replacing them with new ones. In fact, I wish they'd do it more often. After decades of riding a ride, no matter how fabulous, I look forward to new things.

I like FP+ but don't want the thread to close.

I love the magic bands instead of a card and I love the big double buses with the middle bends (anything to get more people home faster)

Thank you for a positive thread! It's a nice chance of pace among the complaining.

I am with those who say the new Dumbo. How incredible. They kept the essence of the popular ride but made it even more spectacular.

Brain is a little slow this morning so I'm having trouble thinking of others but will keep reading the thread.

OK. I'm guilty of posting on the other thread. I do mourn some of the changes. Hey - we all have/had our favourites, right?

But all is not doom and gloom. I do like some of the new things:
- update to Star Tours > I could ride that over and over and over again, especially with how they string together various options, so the ride is never the same twice!
- the update in Spaceship Earth - especially giving them something to do as they come back down - is overall an improvement; overall I think I like it better now than before
- BOG - the restaurant is absolutely beautiful, the food choices (at least what we had) were outstanding, and when you are the first in line to have a photo taken with your host, it doesn't get any better than that! Love it!
- The new and improved queue at Peter Pan. Its awesome.
- I like the whole end of the new Fantasyland where they put in the second Dumbo. The attractions are more generic and therefore, I think more attractive to more people. The atmosphere there is terrific!
- The Pirates tutorial in Adventureland. The kids just gobble this one up!
- The Star Wars tutorial (yikes! the name escapes me!!) has proven itself by how popular it is!!

I haven't taken the accordion buses yet, but anything in the spirit of improving how quickly they move people around the World is a good thing.

Magic Bands are my #1. The convenience/ease is just great, the cards were okay, but this is so nice.

The last 1/4 of Spaceship Earth with the Horizon-like choices.

7DMT is pretty good. I, like others, wished for bigger/better, but it wasn't intended for us, it's more for the casual and kids, so I appreciate it in that sense.

Having trouble thinking of others. I'll wait for more replies

I really like the addition of the magic bands and fast pass+. I love the 7DMT and randomly enough the meet and greet with Gaston is probably my favorite (not sure how new that is though).

The B&tB section of New Fantasyland, especially seeing Beast's Castle and being able to meet Gaston. He's a riot! Little Mermaid isn't too bad, either.

The updates to Test Track's line, definitely. I like almost anything that's like a game.

I'm also glad they brought back MSEP, although that's more of a comeback than an 'addition'.
