Haha, well after totally convincing ourselves on SLGF we both admitted that it really has to be DLH despite the price difference. We are not telling Rosebug though, so she thinks we are staying at SL.

We weren't going to get a meal plan, and were just going to grab a coffee and snack for breakfast and have an early lunch. But then we realised we could do character breakfast in the park with meal plan voucher, so that's us sold, will aim for 2 character breakfasts and 2 hotel! Works out cheaper as we also want to do Inventions x 2, Auberge and Chez Remy.

Question is...Chez Remy with premium vouchers. Do you get the premium meal with the wines? As this is really the only way to make the vouchers worth using there. Thanks.

Do we have to add meal plan on at time of booking? It ups our deposit so would rather just add it at payment time, is there any risk in this? Is there anyway to add the meals on at booking when you are buying the vouchers, seems a bit unfair that you can pre-book if you don't buy their expensive meal plan, but you can't if you buy the vouchers.

Also, DLH at Halloween...does it get decorated?

Excited...although have LOTS of saving to do now!

Thanks guys!

Is there our trip for Halloween next year? If so I'd be tempted to wait for a deal nearer the time that included free half board rather than pay separately unless you get a good hotel deal.

If you do book now, I think you can add the meal plan any time before trav l. I think we added it once a week before we went.

It is for next Halloween, but it is currently 2 nights free? We are going 4 nights, so would meal plan deal work out better?

2 nights free is a good deal. Sometimes they do a 40% off plus free hb but usually nearer the time. If you're happy with the price, go for it :thumbsup2

I'm far from *happy* but we couldn't pay any higher than this so if the 40% with free half board didn't pop up we'd be snookered. It is so hard to know what to do for the best when booking isn't it?

thats actually goo value but I would not spend so long at DLP. Paris has so much to see

Hi, thanks for your reply we are regular (ish) visitors and always go 4 nights, 5 days as once we add in travel either side it gives us 3 full days, which I find perfect to do everything at a relaxed pace. We have done Paris itself a number of times, independently of DLP, so have seen much of it (plus hidden gems thanks to a trip with a French teacher friend).

Love that you're telling Rosebug that you're staying at SL :thumbsup2 that's what we told our DDs the year we stayed at the DLH, they were excited to be staying at the HNY and thought we were heading in the DLH direction to put our cases in guest storage for the afternoon!

We're also toying with booking under the 2 nights free offer, we only have a choice of Flybe or Eurostar and I think if we wait until nearer the time in the hope of a better offer the travel costs will have gone up and outweigh any potential savings.

Very excited to be planning DLP again, it will have been 5 years since our last trip!

We did last time too, but this time she genuinely"knows" that we are staying at SL, bless her though, she is happy with anything and never expects much. We need to book this weekend so I know it is done. I am gutted because castle club the week after isn't much more than a standard room in half term, but as a teacher I can't skive off. :-( So unfair.

Are they stopping the upgrading when new deals come out? Someone said they were. Such a shame.

Totally with you on the travel thing, our flights come put in December. Not sure if I should wait til flights come out to book hotel. Will prices change in that time?

It's nice to be planning again, isn't it? When are you going?

I'm no longer tied to school holidays so we're going to go in the first couple of weeks of October, would have loved to have been there for the 31st party but it's going to cost a third more, just DLP without allowing for the hike in travel costs, plus it should hopefully be less crowded the start of the month. We've never not gone in school holidays so a first for us!

It's hard to know when to book, isn't it! I always feel happier having things booked asap but am managing to hold off for the moment! I hadn't heard they weren't letting people upgrade any more, think it's always been a bit hit and miss depending on who you got on the end of the phone. I'm happy with the prices coming up for club level 4 nights with the 2 nights 2 days free offer - I'm basing it against what we paid for 2 nights at the DLH for 2 night in 2011 and 3 nights at NPB in 2012 so guess I'm being a bit silly not just getting on and booking it. BTW this is HNY, NPB and SL, we've decided the DLH is more than we want to pay however much we loved staying there.

I think the 2 nights 2 days free offer lasts until February 2017 so plenty of time to book ..... unless they only have a set number of rooms that will qualify for that offer ..... and I bet they'd never disclose that to us!

@RoseBug don't delay if you've decided - I went to book today and guess what - the 2 nights 2 days free offer has been removed for my dates :scared: replaced by a 1 night free offer :scared1: or I can book under the 2 nights offer if I book a 5 nights/6 days trip - which I don't want to, I only wanted to go for 4 nights. I contacted DLP and asked if the offer was likely to reappear for my dates and was told no! :headache:

I was just coming on to tell you the same thing!!! I have managed to get 2 nights free, and just panic booked on the WDTC site (this is official Disney isn't it?) but we have to go on the Saturday. Hoping flights match up. It shot up by 1k for the mid-week. :-(

On the plus side it means we can do the Sunday Brunch. But not what we had planned.

Are you able to play around with your dates? Check the WDTC site too because the classic room wasn't available on the DLP site but was on there. (Hoping this isn't going to result in an email saying it couldn't booked).

Yay, so glad you've booked (will keep everything crossed that it goes through OK), we've booked too! I've spent all evening playing around with dates (on WDTC too!) and in the end we've booked 5 nights/6 days under the 2 nights free offer and by opting for the Sequoia Lodge we're only paying a smidgen more than we were for 4 nights under the same offer at HNY or NPB. In a way it's done us a favour as we were going to book HNY although neither of us really fancied staying there (it just doesn't appeal to us!) so it's a first for us at Sequoia Lodge plus we get an extra night.

Phew - so glad it's worked out for you. I think you've made a good choice, I am not a HNY fan. I enjoyed staying there, but it was the 1st Disney hotel I had stayed in and realised after staying at Cheyenne/NPB and now DLH I would choose pretty much any hotel over it. It's just so ... unDisney.

In some ways this has worked out better for us too, because we are now flying from NCL instead of Glasgow. Flights were slighter cheaper than midweek (well £200 cheaper) and we worked out that by the time we added petrol there and back, hotel night before plus food, food at the services, parking for the week...it's not much more to fly from NCL. So we actually get 5 full days there instead of 3 and cutting out 7 hours driving. Trying to decide whether to get the 6.30am flight on the way there or go for afternoon so as not to be too tired on arrival. Thinking 9pm flight home?

I have started buying already! Oooops!
