Change in Plans...

Well, Well... Yesterday I was faced with a very horrible situation! This situation has led me to a decision to cancel my Disney Trip - at which I had planned for so long, that was going to be in July. Here was my situation... Yesterday, at work. Our store director decided to finally tell us that our company is closing every store across the nation except one down. Which means as of August 5, 2006 we will no longer hold a job. Why does this effect my vacation you ask? Well I am a college student, and I was planning on using my Credit Card to pay for all the essentails, such as food, etc... Since, I will be out of work until I replacement, I will no longer have enough to make such a decision. However, I guess there is some good news out of this! I bought my three day hopper - Florida Resident, anytime tickets very early; thus, I have them now. I can use them whenever I would like so those are done. Instead of staying at a Resort, I think I will be saving money and going three seperate times. Thanks everyone for answering my questions throughout the process.

Hopefully my dreams of staying in a resort will come true one day!

Your dreams will definitely come true. This is just a bump in the road. Perhaps, you can hit the budget board and find some ideas for hitting disney on the cheap. Good luck and don't worry, you'll get there.

Well, I stayed onsite but it was for a couple days last year with my Uncle. However, they dont really DO Disney. Meaning, I like to hit the parks daily, etc... They tend to just stay around. I dont know I just want to experience being in the Hotel and going to the parks, etc...

The universe is just telling you this wasn't the right job for you. The best job ever is waiting just around the corner. It will be so fantastic that you will be staying at the Grand Floridian when you get to Disney. (When you dream, dream big). I'm sending you and more good luck and some people to help you out.

That's funny you mention that. I planned on submitting my resume there a couple of weeks before we go, just to see what they say. I was laid off and I haven't found a job YET! But, we are still planning on Disney even though it's a stuggle. I want to get one more use out of our passes which expire in September.

Believe me, we are cutting some tight corners, but think we can manage.....

I know if I find a job before going, I will let them know of the vacation and reservations are already made, and hope for the best.
