Change from Disney Visa to Disney Rewards Card at Check-In?

Is it possible to change your entire payment from your Credit Card to your Rewards Card at time of Check In?
We booked our September stay at POFQ and I paid $400 deposits with my Disney Visa Credit Card. However, I have enough Disney Visa Rewards $'s to pay for our entire trip (deposits and balance). I am wondering what the best way is to make the payment. Ideally I would like to put my entire balance on my Disney Visa Credit Card. Then when we actually make the trip in September switch the payment from my Disney Visa to my Disney Rewards Card. I hate to move that large of amount of Reward $'s to my Disney Rewards Card at balance pay off time in fear of something happening to cancel my trip and then I have a very large balance that will expire in 1 year on my Rewards card if I don't use it. Has anyone ever done this? Possibly at POFQ?

They were able to reverse my credit card charges for me when I checked in online and actually wanted to pay for my room with giftcards, so yes I think you can do this. This was a room only reservation, 2 years ago at POR.

I think you would lose the points that you earned from that $400 though. Honestly, if they are already on a rewards card I am not sure how that works. But I know if you return things they take away the points you would have earned.

Do it every trip! However, I've never had enough to pay for the entire trip.Usually,we just have around $600, enough to pay for suveniers, drinks, tipping for ADR's, etc. You will need to have the Visa on your room, for charges through your Keys to the World throughout the parks, etc. The day before check-out, just go to the front desk and have what would be charged to your Visa, put on your Rewards Card.
I believe you can pay for your trip, including your deposit (which should be reversed on your Visa), with Disney Rewards, as long as it was booked through Disney,and not a travel agent. Just wait until it gets closer to the date where you have to pay in full,usually 45 days before your vacation.

This! If you paid say $2k for a package your would lose $20 in rewards by doing this.

If you have points on your card and the card is about to expire don't worry. Just call the number on the back of the rewards card and have them transfer the points to a Disney gift card. Thats what I did.
