My points transferred today and I was actually able to use those banked points for a standard 1 bedroom at AKV in late July for 7 consecutive nights, so that worked out better than I hoped.

On short notice reservations you will generally have more luck booking a 1 or 2 b/r than a studio. You might need to focus on booking Saratoga, Animal Kingdom and Old Key West for best availability.
