Chances of getting AKV Club Level at the 7 month mark?

On a scale of 1-10 1 being YEA RIGHT and 10 being yeah easy peasy (yeah I know it won't be 10 lol), what is the likelihood of getting AKV club level 7th month mark?

Has anyone here been able to get that at the 7 month mark?

That depends a lot on what time of year you are talking about. If you mean ANY holiday time....Yeah right! If you are talking about mid summer or something like that...well maybe.

It would probably be the middle of Sept or Feb (not around Presidents day)

I tried exactly at the 7 month mark for mid May and kept the WL active up until 7 days prior and then called every day and was unsuccessful. Good luck and pixie dust that you're successful!

You never know.

If somebody had a club level villa booked and then wanted to move to some other resort at 7 mos. you might luck into one.

Last year I tried to book club level for the first 2 weeks of June 2010 and couldn't (we own at AKV and I called right at the 11 month mark). BUT I didn't feel like messing with the waitlist and I never did check again to see if we could switch some of the nights. It's possible that I could have eventually gotten at least part of our stay.

In '09 we had 10 nights in a concierge studio but it seems like I had to waitlist for those and add them from the back end. I was just looking at our "completed vacations" and those nights were split into 3 chunks so I know we didn't book them all at the same time.

I'd say that you have a 20% chance of success. But hey, I'm guessing!

I couldn't get it at 905am at the 11 month window for May. Many have reported nights here and there at even less than 7 months. Good luck!

We have tried for the last 3 years to get in and finally got in by booking it at the 11 month marks at 9:00am and 10 secs. We will be there the at the end of August. Tried to get a week but could only get 3 nights, so the other nights will be in Kidani.

A friend got it for the end of June 2 years ago, 1 bedroom, 4 nights, at the 7 month mark. We arrived on a Friday, that may have helped.

Well I just called.....to ask them hypothetically......asked for 2/9-14/2011 for a studio had some dates but not the 11 and 12th. Then asked about the one bedroom they had all nights. Just thought I'd pass that along lol

The 10 night ressie we had in '09 was in early August.

We currently have 13 nights in a concierge studio for early June 2011. Hoping to add another night or 2. But if we can't add a couple more nights we may cancel a couple off the end and move to Kidani for several nights. If I have to move it's NOT going to just be for 2 nights! So, the inventory of concierge rooms may change as people firm up their plans.

I was successful this year for our October visit. But I called right when they opened for the day. I called the next day to try and move our stay up one day and it was a no go. Plus the five nights I had reserved the day before were all sold out. Needless to say, I kept the dates I booked and didn't alter our plans. I feel fortunate but because it's during F&W I think AKL is one of the last DVC properties to sell out.

For Sept and Feb I'd say 5-10% if you call at opening day 1, 7 months out and that includes the chances of getting it on the WL.

I know they open up....because I just cxld an AKL CL studio this morning for March 7-10.

I had originally grabbed it first thing in the morning at my 11 month mark. Sadly, I am still going then, but my "only me" studio, just became a 6 person-2 bedroom trip instead!

It's all in the timing I guess.

ETA: Just to clarify - the 2 bedroom is Kidani - not CL....boy that would be some great pixie dust wouldn't it, LOL?
