My friends and I are flying out of MCO at 8:35 PM on November 4th. What are the chances that this flight will change between now and then? Has anyone had any experience with Airtran changing times on them?

I have flown Airtran most of my trips to WDW. There has been only one time a couple of years ago that the flight time was changed. They changed it to depart MCO 2 hours later. It worked out better for us because we got to spend most of that day in EPCOT.

47.6% chance.

Ummm....do you really know that or did you just make it up? I know no one can tell me for sure what the % is, I just want to know what people's personal experience has been.

Thanks!

I currently have tickets through Airtran for the end of September. My flights home have changed twice (though the difference is minimal 15-20 minutes).

My big complaint is the flight down. AirTran cancelled their direct flight I had booked. I leave fairly close to the same time, but now connect in Atlanta and arrive two hours later so will miss out on precious park time. For me the change basically eliminates a half day of touring :sad2:

I was looking for other flight possibilities, but nothing else that will work for us. Oh well.

My departure out of MSP has changed 4 times, gradually getting later in the day, giving me less time in WDW the first day. My return has changed 2-3 times, though in my favor by about an hour.

I would be surprised if your flights for Nov. DON'T change. Airtran is known for tweaking their schedule. Keep a close eye on your itinerary at www.airtran.com

I didn't even know to check for flight times changing until I looked at this thread. My September flight times have changed, too. Thanks for the heads up.

Honestly - even airline employees can't give you the answer to this question. It's impossible to know. Of course I was kidding, :confused3

My departure from MCO time has changed 3 times since I made the reservation in June. I check weekly. My gripe is not that it changed, but Airtran didn't notify me as they should.

I made reservations in March w/Airtran for our DL trip. Last week I was checking all my reservation numbers to ensure everything was in order. Lo and behold they have changed my departure time for our trip home by almost a full three hours. Mind you, no one from Airtran has called or emailed to inform me of this change (even though the website says they will if a change occurs). The really bummer to all of this is while we're leaving LAX 3 hours earlier, we're only arriving home 1 hour earlier. We get to spend the extra 2 hours sitting in the Atlanta airport. Not happy w/Airtran :furious:

My flight to MCO changed as well. And not for the better. We will be arriving in Disney later :sad2: . Not what I was hoping for, and this is the ONLY direct flight. What you can do though if your flight changes, and you do not like the new times, or they don't work for you, Call Air tran and you can change flights at no cost. That is what I plan on doing. Although we will no longer have a direct flight we will arrive in Disney 6 hrs earlier. And it happens that it is just a stop over with no change of plane which I think we can handle.

Just wanted to chime in and give kudos to Disney Travel. We booked our flight online at the same time we booked our package on the wdw site for a really cheap price. The Disney TA called me the other day to tell me that Airtran had changed our flight - we would be getting to WDW 1-2 hours later - I was so disappointed! I asked if there was anything available earlier in the day and she said there was! She booked us to arrive 6.5 hours earlier than our original flight! Now we have almost a whole nother day at WDW! We do have to stop in Atlanta (no plane change though) but I was just so happy that she was able to help! I just hope the happens with our flight home - I'd love another few hours at WDW! OP, did you book through Disney by chance?

My BIL booked their air thru WDW and has updates everytime Airtran has changed their flights in September. (which has been *5* times so far!)

I wished we'd have booked it thru WDW too. At least that way we'd be alerted to the time changes. It seems like that's the way to go.

We had booked with Air tran but through Disney...they were great! I was fed up with the changes and 1 flight changed from nonstop to a stop so I cancelled my flights and rebooked with SW for less money. I got a full refund because I had booked with Disney.

Our flight home also changed by 3 hours, leaving much earlier than originally planned. We booked through Disney and they were very accomodating. They ended up refunding the money we paid for our flight because we couldn't find another option. We were able to rebook with another airline and saved even more money!

I am booked throught Disney Travel and no one has contacted me about the schedule changes. Both my flight times have changed.
