Chances of a Studio at BWV or BCV in May

DH and I are planning a long weekend trip in early May. Our home resort is OKW, but because 2 of the children won't be with us due to school schedules, we are thinking of trying a studio in BWV or BCV. What are our chances at the 7 month window? Should I make a back up reservation at OKW? If we waitlist for the entire block of three nights will the waitlist be impossible?

Sorry for so many questions, we are new to DVC and this will be our second trip as DVCers and our first somewhere other than our "home".

Make a reservation now at your home resort and try to change it exactly at 7 months.

I think that you will have a very good chance of making the switch at the 7 month mark. Early May is not as hard to book as some other times of the year. Good luck!

I was able to book a Boardwalk view studio for 8 nights this past May at the 7 month window.

since your doing a weekend (fri/Sat included) you might not have to much trouble.
that's also the F&GF and flower power concert time. have fun


we have ours booked already (11 months out) april 29/may4 /standard studio
