Chances for a Grand villa at OKW in April?

My family is looking to take go to WDW in April 2009. My folks own at Beach Club but we'd need a Grand Villa for everyone. What do you think our chances are getting a Grand Villa in early April 2009 if we don't own in OKW? Our other options are in the summer since my husband and I are teachers...but it's likely there will be new babies then so we'd like to go earlier.

Wow if it is at Easter - it might be tough. If you are planning for that time frame I would make a ressie at my home resort and try to switch at 7 months so you are left out in the cold.

It would be extremely tough for Easter at 7 months. Go with a two bedroom and a studio at BCV so you'll something. A GV at SSR might be easier to get, but it will cost a lot more points.

I booked a villa at OKW at 7 months for this April 6-11. I booked day by day. Day 3 was not available when I tried to add it on. But when I got to day 5, day 3 had opened up. Someone had cancelled a reservation that morning to switch to another resort.

Yes, it can be done, but you aren't dealing with Easter in April this year, but you will be next year.

I am quite sure if you are talking about Either the week of or the week after Easter your chances for a GV will be like the proverbial snowball in hades!

It's too soon to know - the OP was asking about 2009. The 7 month window for April 2009 isn't open yet.

I am interested in 2009 as well. I am making a cash ressie for the 18th of April 2009...to lock in that Saturday (a coworker is an owner). And then try to aquire the rest of the week at the 7 month window.

This would be the only time that I would be interested in a GV. Any other time we book OKW all we need is a 2BDRM and I have never had a problem getting it.

I guess we'll see? Fingers crossed

I'm confused. You already made a cash night reservation through MS for the GV? Or you made a cash reservation though CRO?

That was my confusion as well. I'm quite surprised there was a GV available for cash already. On the other hand, I suspect GVs on Saturdays often go unbooked with points.

Oh, you don't have the reservation yet. Have you asked MS if it going to be available as a cash reservation? What's your fallback plan if it isn't available for cash?
