Chance of a soft open this week?

Heading to Universal this Thursday May 22nd (staying at RPR) thru Memorial Day. Do you think we have a chance at a soft open for Diagonal Alley? Tia

Anything is possible, but likely not until the construction walls are down..rumored to be yesterday but as of last night they were still up.

We are heading to Orlando May 31-June 6th, I am planning to buy an annual pass and go 06/3 and 06/4. I've never experienced a "soft opening". Do we just head over to where Diagon Alley is supposed to be (somewhere in US, not IOA, right?) and hope it is open? Or will they tell us at the gate?

We will be back in September if we miss it, but I'm traveling with friends who won't be, so if we have a chance I would like to go to the soft opening...

i've only done a couple of soft openings.


when i saw a couple of TM's at the entrance line to a ride that was not due to be opened until another week or so, i asked them if a soft opening would happen that day.

one TM told me maybe, the other TM told me to come back at a certain time.


the soft openings i did get to do were out of pure luck.

the ride only stayed open for a couple of hours then shut down.
still had some kinks to be worked out.

I heard TM previews start next week so most likely the week after would be a soft opening.

This weekend is probably going to be too early for a soft opening and with the holiday crowds, TMs will most likely be needed at other attractions. I'm guessing softs will begin in two weeks...June 7th or there abouts. If I hear anything more, I'll post it but if 6/7 is the most likely day I'm going to camp out near that area in hopes of being a test subject.
