Chance if getting non-home resort the weeks of Christmas and New Year?

We are looking into going to WDW during Christmas and New Year and staying in 2 studios at Boardwalk. Our concern is that we won't be able to get in since our home resort is BLT. Has anyone had any luck getting in during this timeframe at the 7 month mark?

Better book BLT at the 11 month window. I'm guessing availability will be limited at the 7 month window at BWV, but if you do waitlist, do it for the Deluxe Studio Garden/Pool View. There are the most of that room type. We've spent NYE at the BWV (our home) and it is a great time to visit as long as you are prepared for the crowds!

As mentioned, definitely book BLT as ack up, and be ready to call right at 7 months. The only drawback I see is that your wait list, if for some reason they are not available at the 7 month mark, will be separate for each room, which could possibly mean one could come through and the other would not..

Once again, studios never connect to other studios. And they might not be close, so at least one adult will need to be in each studio.

That's great. I read a lot of posts about families with kids who want to save points and get two studios.

Then they get seperated from their kiddos? Scary! Thanks for thinking of warning us.

We got it but not for the studio, waitlisted the only night in between that did not come through (30th) paid cash for that night. I had to piece together our trip this time and the studios were available. Good luck. And have fun--the crowds were unbelievable.

Be aware that for Christmas week 2012 for BWV, you could have gotten a 1BR pool/garden view for the week at exactly 7 months out. You could not have gotten anything else without waitlisting multiple days. The same (1BR open, everything else booked multiple days in the period) existed at BCV and VWL.

The problem is I don't think we have enough points. In total we will have 450 points (400 at BLT and 50 at AKV) and need enough room for 4-5 adults and 3 children. We would be happy with any view at BLT or BWV, we just want to have travel options other than buses since it will be so crowded. Unfortunately, these weeks and the week of July 4th are our only options this year
