My family and I are sailing on the Fantasy at the end of September and are thinking about going to the champagne tasting. I’ve read some reviews and have a question. Does the tasting consist of several different champagnes & sparkling wines or is several champagne cocktails?

Thank you!!

As I remember it from the Fantasy, both. Plus I'm pretty sure we had some nibbles as well.

We did this on the Dream in July; the tasting consisted of five champagnes and sparkling wines. It was great fun. There was also a champagne cocktail tasting ofreed on our cruise but I don't know any details on that. And yes the Moët ice imperial is delicious!

We did it on the Dream a couple weeks ago and it was all champagne cocktails. We made 4 full size drinks: The Legend, Royal Bellini, Blue Angel, and Pomegranate Passion. We had an amazing time and felt it was totally worth the $20. Our hostess did say that each person runs the course differently though, so I would think it's hard to predict what you will get until you're there.

The tasting we did on the Dream in April was only champagne. There was a sweet treat at end. It wasn't cheap- can't remember exact price- $40/pp? Well worth it, however!

The tasting we did on the Fantasy was just Champagne but was WELL worth it.

We did this on the Wonder and really enjoyed it!!

Thank you for all the information! Looks like they have a Champagne tasting and/or Champagne Cocktail tasting. I’ll have to see what’s available once I’m on board. I don’t think I can go wrong with either one of them, they both sound great!

We were on the Dream in July and they offered both. Embarkation evening had the Champagne Cocktail tasting(it was listed this way) and Champagne tasting was on another day. I agree - just check once you are on board.

Do you pre-book this when you do online check in? We've never done any of the tastings, but would like to give it a whirl this time.

Tastings are booked once onboard. There should be info in the Navigator as to when and what bar that happens. You *can* go to guest services, but the bar location has a chart with what tastings are when and you select from that, and in my experience guest services picks the time for you. I'm sure you could ask, but why not just go to the bar where they handle it instead of tying up guest services for information that is clearly available elsewhere.

I wouldn't count on it being noted that way though. Here is our Day 1 Navigator listing from August and we definitely had cocktails. image.jpg
