Challenges w/ planning from across the country

I am going to be planning my DFTW from Iowa...I wondered what challenges people had run into w/ planning from a distance. I'm kind of a control freak rolleyes: ) and thought of not being "hands on" during the wedding planning is a little scary but I've seen the results of other people's long distance planning and it's beautiful.

Does Disney ease the pain of long-distance planning?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Don't worry about being so far away. I did everything from NJ & only visited once for the ps. Some girls don't even go down for that. Its very easy and I think you will be able to get everything you want.

I'm also very hands on and crazy. They were able to work with me very easily and help quell my fears.

I planned from Los Angeles and I am extremely persnickety, and everything turned out great!

Check out the "PJ" link in my signature for a report of how I planned our wedding, including all my Type A requests and the way I communicated exactly what I wanted (it's all about photos!).

I'm planning from the U.K (as are lots of other DIS brides) - so I dont think you have anything to worry about!
