Hello again... I was wondering if they will allow you to bring in your own folding chairs- the kind that slip into a bag to watch the F! show... I found some while at the ProBass store last night- 6.99 each and they were simple without the armrests... and very compact. Anybody know about this?

Wouldn't the locker rental cost more than the chair/s are worth? Unless you plan on lugging them around for a better part of the day. :confused3

I really don't think they'd allow those in the parks...

And even if you did, you would incur the wrath of those sitting behind you, because you'd now be taller than you "should" be. I'd put more energy into figuring out spots where you can sit more comfortably to view it, rather than buying things that probably won't be allowed in the parks.

They will not allow them at Fantasmic! The sitting area is specifically for sitting on the ground so that everyone can see. If you are in your lawn chair, you will be blocking the little kid behind you. The CMs will ask you to fold it up and sit on the ground.

They make people with strollers fold them up before showtime, so I imagine this would fall into the same category. It's not comfortable on the ground, but it does make it easy for everyone to get an equal view.

Best advice I got for this was to take a blanket and spread it out so people don't encroach on your "spot," especially if you take turns using the bathroom or getting snacks. We took in a thin denim blanket after our break in a backpack along with our jackets (this was October), glow sticks, and water bottles.

I considered asking if I could bring one in for the wait to get the F! preferred seats assigned. I also considered renting a wheelchair for that purpose, but instantly felt bad thinking that since neither mom nor I "need" it. But after standing in place for 2 hours (which is what we did last year) I almost needed one!

A couple of years ago, a guy in front of us in the security line was turned away because he had two folding chairs with him. The security person told him they weren't allowed in the park. The guy was arguing that he didn't want to have to take the tram back to his car to store them. He wanted to know if security would store them for him. Security said no, if you leave them here you won't be able to get them back. The guy mumbled something and then walked back toward the tram. Having witnessed this, I can say with certainty that folding chairs are not allowed in the park.

I was thinking this would be what would happen lol.. If they were allowed there would be a sea of chairs all over the place :scared1:

You don't want to be in competition with the Disney seating.

What if the kid in the stroller is sleeping? I wasn't asked to fold up the stroller?

I didn't see anyone with a sleeping child in a stroller. I did see many kids asleep on the blankets while waiting.

We were glad we squeezed into a spot in about the third "row" of people on the ground, but near a side walkway that was kept clear (with ropes and a CM standing guard). It made it easy to rotate people in and out for bathroom and snack breaks. So think about not only your position relative to the river but also how easy it would be to leave your spot without climbing over too many people.

In the seated area, guests in wheelchairs and those with strollers in which children are asleep are able to be in the very back row, right up against the rope.

If there is no child in the stroller or if the child is awake, the CMs will ask or the stroller to be folded up.
