Can you really make decent extra money on these sites? How time consuming is it?

I guess I'm looking to make about $100-250 extra dollars a month.

i don't know anything about KGB, but new chacha guides work for points-each month, there is a set amount of money in the guide pool, and each guide who works for points gets paid based upon their number of points and the amount of money in that month's guide pool. i'm grandfathered in to work for cash, and i make about $10.00 per day for 5 hours work. it's not much, but better than nothing. i'm looking for a job outside the home, but the local job well is dry.

I used to do KGB, but I quit on Superbowl Sunday. I was making pretty good money before that, about $3 an hour- some hours on the weekends I would pull closer to $4 an hour. Then right before the Superbowl they went on an insane hiring binge..hired everyone and everybody. There were so many people, it was hard to make any money at all. This went on from late January through Superbowl. I think I made $10 in two weeks, or something ridiculous like that. Then, on Superbowl Sunday, they promised us great incentives to work. Logged in..and the site crashed. And then there were gobs of us online, and few texts. And they hired a zillion people for THIS? I think I made a buck on my two hour shift, the site was so dang slow and there were so many people. I quit that evening and never looked back.

I signed up for kgb during the Superbowl hiring binge and was almost all the way through, but I pooped out. We left for Disney from 1/22-2/1 and all the e-mails they sent had all these deadlines in them that I just couldn't make. And when we came back I didn't follow up at all. So I guess I'm glad I didn't after hearing your report of what actually happened on Superbowl Sunday.

I worked for ChaCha for a little over a year. They started a mass hiring like KGB did and then cut pay and increased the workload. I was working an 8 hour day for something around $8. Dumb.

Now, whenever I text ChaCha, 98% of the time, I get a wrong answer.

I am an expeditor for ChaCha so I am probably biased but I like ChaCha. As for the points thing...as far as I am aware, the points guides can now work for cash too. But I would read any hiring material before starting just to make sure. I know they are hiring right now because they are having a referral contest. This past weekend I have made about $20 between Friday and Saturday. I am not sure how much I worked since I have a baby and have to stop frequently. If you have any questions about ChaCha I will be more than happy to answer them. You can ask here or PM me. I have been both expeditor and SMS. Personally, I like expediting better but that is just me. I know there are some guides that love SMS and won't change positions. I am not sure what positions they are hiring for but you can look at their website to see.

I've worked both, although neither too recently, and honestly would suggest neither unless you don't mind working for pennies on the dollar. They *use* to be pretty good, but both are very saturated now with too many workers, and in ChaCha's case, too little pay.

ChaCha was the best thing I ever discovered until about a year ago or so when everything slowed down and I hardly made a penny. I rarely go on anymore. I am a Generalist/Specialist.

ChaCha used to be great. When I was unemployed, I made around $800 a month. Then everything changed and I went to barely pulling in $400. Now its even worse. I would have to really hustle to just make $150.
