So now we are off to MGM. On the To Do List is Fantasmic. Being Disneyland aficionados, we have all seen this show too many times to count. We have also learned to stay away from Rivers of America area when this show is on. You see Disneyland does not have a dedicated amphitheater for this show. If you want seats, pull up some pavement at least a few hours before the show. This is one of the most crowded areas in Disneyland at the show times. Any way, it was very nice to see Fantasmic on a seat and that this was going to be the last show for the week and was closing for refurbishment .
As some of you may know, inconsiderate stroller drivers are a pet peeve of mine (see my post, A Short Word on Strollers). As we enter MGM, its like a free for all. As we battle our way forward to TOT, Im thinking that there ought to be a law against untrained stroller operators. Get a license, people! How are you supposed to have a Magical Gathering in gridlock??
We get to TOT. Panda has never ridden this ride before. The rest of us havent ridden since before the changes for TOT v. 4.0 have taken effect so we are stoked. This is by far the best ride at MGM. Nothing like tasting your breakfast from 9:00AM at 5:30 in the afternoon. Dont miss it. I assure you its different.
After TOT, we went to RNR. This was a new ride for me, as it was not built yet the last time I came to WDW. Being a fan of Aerosmith, this was not a ride I was going to miss. I was disappointed that the band didnt have a bigger role. More music would have been good too. Overall, this is not a ride to miss.
As we finished RNR, we noticed there was a line going into Fantasmic. Why?? Its still almost 1-½ hours to show time. Since we werent going to be eating until 8:30, we decide to go and get some food. Panda wants to be sure we get good seats and is off in a flash. This is the guy who will fight for good seats at any function where there might be something remotely interesting to see. TGB, Nala and I look around for something quick to eat. TGB gets pizza for her and Panda and goes to find him. Nala and I get some chicken fingers and find a table. I m not a fan of trying to eat, walk and fight a crowd at the same time. If TGB and Panda hold some seats for us, fine. If not, Im sure well find some somewhere.
We finish eating and make our way to the amphitheater. Who the hell designed this walkway?? This is the longest damn walkway to an attraction that I have ever seen. You could land a 747 on this thing. Finally we spot TGB and Panda with, get this, FRONT ROW seats!!! This is very cool. We walk up and tell Panda, Good seats!! Little did we know that there was a reason these seats were so readily available. As the show started we instantly knew .
