Cerritos Public Library

Has anyone been to the Cerritos Public Library? It is an amazing new library, sort of like a Disneyland for libraries.

I am hoping that we can make a stop there when we visit in Sept 2006. I may be the only one interested in visiting but I guess that is because I am a graduate student in Library Science.

Ive been to it a few times to take the sweetpea. Its a really neat library to visit. One of the most interesting children's area I have seen. The aquarium is amazing. We enjoy sitting on the dock to watch it. We also like reading inside the light house. Neat library to visit. You will enjoy it.

Just across the street from the library (ok, not exactly across the street, more like on the other corner behind the office buildings) there is a really great park. Its called Heritage Park I believe. There is a bridge to take you to a little island where there is an amazing play area for kids. Its all done up like Paul Revere times with play houses and such. There is also a play boat for the kids as well. Its worth making a trip over there since you are so close at the library.

I'll have to check out that library! Snubie, good luck with your degree. I got my MLS from Queens College in NY in 1997. I love being a librarian! I also check out libraries on vacation if I can. I'll be in DL soon, and this is worth a side trip.
