Century21 for resales

Has anyone used Century21 timeshare resales for a DVC resale? I'm about to enter into a contract for BWV and was wondering what to expect. Disney DVC sales rep was not happy that I chose a BWV resale instead of new at WLV. She told me that unless I was always going to stay on a holiday weekend, 7 months was plenty of time to book BWV. According to these boards, that doesn't seem so. Are there any disadvantages to purchasing a resale? Am I correct in assuming that all DVC contracts end on 2042 no matter when they were purchased? Sorry, don't have any info about Century 21 resales. We just purchased a resale from The Timeshare Store for OKW. Took 35 days from bid to closing.
You are correct, all contracts end at the same time. Doesn't make a difference if it is bought through Disney or resale.

No, there is no difference at all, noe what-so-ever with a resale and direct from Disney...once you are in the system, no one can even tell where you bought.

We can be politically correct and call this a...???? mistatement??????? aaahhhh, mistake????? mmmmm, untruth?????, I prefer to call a duck by its name, this is a bold faced lie, an attempt at fraud....this is why I am so thrilled to be a part of this board, to guard against pitiful lies like this:

I am happy you were able to make an informed decision and not be "duped" into buying something that wasn't right for you.

Once you get your resale, ask to have your Disney sales guide changed. You will be linked to this person forever, and it may not be comfortable if that is their attitude.

Used Century 21 out of Kissimmee for one resale, ERA Stroman for the other. Both went fine.

I don't think she will be linked to this person. My understanding is that you are linked to the represenative who sold the contract you are buying on resale. So you may not get the same person.

I thought everyone who bought a resale was assigned a guide, and if they had ever taken a DVC tour, that was the guide they got assigned.

Thanks to all. When I asked my Disney Sales Rep if she also assisted in booking etc...she told me that she just did sales and that I would be assigned to the guide that the contract was linked to. I actually hinted that I would be interested in working with her (me and my Italian guilt) in the near future, but I guess she wasn't!I'm sure that many of the sales reps aren't happy with the whole resale thing, especially with the popularity of BWV. I'm sure plenty of people would prefer WLV, but it's not for us, and if we can get something we want for less money, we'd be fools not to!
