This is too good. Be sure not to peek at the end. I normally don't post jokes but this one was in the paper this morning and it's kinda cute. 
Bob Russell tells about a fellow who was lonesome, so he went to the pet store and told the clerk he wanted an unusual pet. After looking over various animals, he bought a centipede, which came in a little white box to use for its house.
He took it home and thought how much fun it would be to go have a drink with his new friend.
"Want to go to Frank's Bar and have a drink with me?" he asked. But there was no answer.
After waiting a few minutes, he asked again, "Want to go to the bar and have a drink with me?"
But again, there was only silence.
The man was really upset by now, disappointed that his new pet was so unsociable.
So he put his mouth down right next to the box and yelled, "Hey, in there! Do you want to go to Frank's place and have a drink with me?"
And finally....
...finally...
(don't you dare peek!)
...finally...
...a little voice came from inside the box:
"I heard you the first time. I'm putting on my shoes."
