Cell phone signals?

Does anyone have any personal experience using Sprint in the theme parks? We were wondering if the signal was good?

I just got back today and I have verizon and had no problems. I hope yours works well and you have a great trip. It was nice to be able to seperate and get back together easily. I also used my phone to make my ps a little earlier one day because we were finshed sooner than we thought we would be.

I use Sprint and had a great signal in all the parks when my family vacationed two weeks ago. We got full signals at the Polynesian too, but very weak signals last year when we stayed at Coronado Springs, so I guess it depends on where you are. Just a quick tip: my phone slipped into roaming mode a couple of times in my purse during the day, and it really drained my battery, so you may want to turn off the roaming option. I didn't even know you could do that; my ex-boyfriend who works at MGM had to show me! Good luck!

Thanks for the great tip...I have the Disney dining # programmed into the speed dial on my cell phone. Knowing me I would have been looking it up everyday forgetting it's on my speed dial. I do have several reservations I would love to get better times for. I know it goes agaisnt the recommendations for CRT breakfast, but my cell phone is the only way we can get a reservation. Maybe our land lines are very slow??

What about Cingular? I don't plan on using the phone as much as being able to check e-mails on my blackberry a few times a day.

Sounds like we will be in business becuase we are staying at Shades of Green (just a 10 minute stroll to the Polynesian). Thanks for the tip about the roaming...I sure didn't know this...hopefully DH knows how. :sunny:

You will get great signal from Cingular in the parks. For a matter of fact there's not much of Fl that you don't get a great signal on Cingular. Was there last year and had Cingular for my cell phone and was great.

We have Sprint as well and find that when we are outside our signal is great. When we go into the resort room or some ride buildings, the phone may lose its signal.
