Is there any issues we need to be aware of? We are all with T-Mobile and want to rely on our cell phones. That being said if we need to bring walkie-talkies we will do so.

TIA-

Not that I know of. We use our cell phones a lot to find eachother when were split up. I've even gotten reception while on rides! LOL

We use ours all the time. On ocassion I have poor reception in a building. It has never been a big deal because as soon as I exit I always receive a message that I missed a call and just contact whoever called. Our phones are with Cingular, or I guess they are now Att or whoever they are this month!

We are with cingular/at&t and we always use our phones in the parks. Our biggest problem with our phones is that we often don't hear it ringing (loudness of parks and rides). So we usually put it on vibrate and put it in our pockets.

We have Verizon and last time we were at DLR we had problems using our phones. It would show that we had service and we would make the call but the other person never received it. We thought maybe we just weren't hearing it but I was holding my phone in my hand and looking at it when my mom called one time and it never rang--just eventually told me I had a missed call. Anyone have the same experience?

I've experienced a "dead space" of sorts near Pirates. I was sitting at Riverbelle out on the terrace, leaned closer to Pirates and my signal went POOF. Called hubby back and took a few steps the other way and it was just fine. This was with T-mobile, with a cell that did not have roaming capability.

My current cell phone is with Sprint, it goes on roaming anytime we are in a ride. No signal at all inside Soarin but that is to be expected.

Verizon works all over the park so it shouldnt be the service. BUT you are right. The Cellphone is just too quiet and sometimes, i dont even hear the phone. For radios, i click them on my Tshirt so its close to my head so i hear that every single time when my company needs me :D

We have AT&T and had no trouble with reception. What did take us a little while to figure out was that we had to dial the area code when calling each other even though both numbers are in the same one. We have had that happen before when we were not in our local area.

we had some problems last year with our t-mobile service. If there was a dead space in either park, we found it! There is one near Pirates and in NO Square.

We found that text messaging still worked when cell phones didn't.

Like others, I have had problems when inside a building. Other than that, work has always been able to reach me when I am at the parks :(

I have T-mobile and the NOS area is always a problem for me. I'm usually fine everywhere else outside. Inside buildings is often an issue.

we have verizon and dh called me while I was on pirates and it worked fine. . . did I answer?? NOOOOO, waited until we were off and then called him back. but was surprised it worked!

Just that there is a special ring of hell for people who fail to set them on silent on the rides. :rotfl: I nearly smacked the woman who ANSWERED ther stupid phone on IASW.

We travel with a group with lots of different plans and have no issues.

We bring our cell phones to call each other and to text and I've always had gret reception.

We have had trouble with Walkie Talkies. Either nothing working at all, or garbled other people's conversations coming in.
