we are about to buy some new phones

I want a phone that has full access to paypal..need to be able to email people "pay me now requests"

want a phone that can get email from my house email provider

want to be able to check the balances in my checking account

must have full keyboard(qwerty)

hubby wants phone that can also be used as an internet provider for a laptop.

so, I think, the phones are a high possiblity.
anyone here use them? what does the internet browsers look like? would you by your phone again?

we are sprint users so the phone must be a sprint one

pluses are being able to watch youtube, sprint tv, text one another, camera and if i can put music from my home puter on the phone that may be as well

the most important is being able to use it for email and paypal tho

I have had a Blackberry Curve for 2 years and I loved it other than when I got on-line. I felt like it was a mess and hard to navigate.
Almost a month ago I got the Samsung Moment and I really like it. I'm getting used to the slide out keyboard slowly. What's nice about it is that you can use it as a touch screen or slide out the other keyboard. Facebook and websites look just lik emy home computer. It runs on the Andriod network which has a ton of free apps. You can use the touch screen to scroll from side to side and up and down. It's similar to an iPhone, I think. But better because I don't have to pay too much for an AT&T plan. :thumbsup2

I would google both and look at the screen shots and read about complaints. I went into the store and fiddled with the Moment before I decided.

Good luck deciding.

hey can you do me a favor? can you take your Moment and go to www.paypal.com do you have an account there? if so, can you log in and does the screen shot look like the one at home or does it just allow you to check your balance or send money?

I did watch the videos and have read reviews and I am 99% sure I am going to choose the moment. seems to be exactly what i want. I have a samsung rant so i am use to the keyboard.
My coworker tried to show me her blackberry pearl. she tried to get to paypal, what a tedious process. I had never done it before on my rant, so when i saw her struggling along I tried it on my rant amd even tho she had a several minutes head start I was able to get to paypal on my rant. the only problem is it only allows you to do 2 things..see your balance and send money

If you have a BB (Curve or otherwise), download the Opera web browser, it's much better then the basic web browser. The only time I use the basic web browser is for direct connection programs that are forced to use the built-in browser (think of Blackberry Updates, etc.).

When I typed paypal into my search on the Moment, it brought up the regular website and a paypal app for Android.

Clicking the regular site I was able to do all the things I normally would do. The app said check balance and send money only. So, going to the site would be the best choice. It looks just like the computer. :thumbsup2

I have a curve and it works ok for my home email but it doesn't send all of them over. I had the same issue with my Pearl so I don't know if it is the Blackberry software, my computer or my internet provider.

You might want to look into the Driod. That has MUCH better internet options and capabilities.

Ok i am sold on my moment went to the store, and they were sold out and are ordering me one.

Hubby wants a blackberry either tour or curve..anyone have pros and cons? if you could pick either which would you do?

he likes to send a lot of picture via text to people

also, we had asked about tethering and running his laptop via the phone connection and the sales girl said sprint stopped this ability about a month ago

is this true and anyway to get around that? he was hoping to give up his sprint aircard for the laptop

THANKS a bunch for checking the paypal site out for me. very important feature for me and the one thing you cant do in stpres is see the phone actually running, so sometimes it is hard to judge

I second Opera Mini. I cannot stand the browser that comes with the Curve.
