Cell phone and pre paid reservations

Cell phone was given when the reservation was made. I have heard that they contact the phone a couple of days before to confirm reservation. I plan to have my phone off during my vacation so I do not get charged any roaming fee. will anything happen to the reservation if they are unable to contact me on my cell phone.

I've never ever received a phone call confirming my diningreservation.
I assume they only call if there is a problem with your reservation.
I would think that if there was a problem they would also send an email and post a notice on MDE.

The only restaurant that I have ever heard they call for is Victoria & Albert.

This. I got confirmation/reminder emails before all my ADRs Thanksgiving week, but they didn't require a response. I was never called.

At some ADRs, upon checkin, they would tell you they will text you when your table is ready, but I would think they'd just call your name if you asked (and stayed close to the podium). Everyone doesn't text, for whatever reason.

I have never received a call about a dining reservation...and I have had hundreds over the years! As for the roaming fee, you should check with your service provider to see if it applies to visiting FL. I know in the past, anything outside of your area code was "roaming", but most providers now give free nationwide coverage. If that is the case, I only suggest taking your phone (if you have a smart phone) because the Disney App is great to see current ride wait times and remind you of your reservations/confirmation numbers etc... Otherwise..keep the phone off! Youre on vacation !!!
