Celiac on Disney Cruise

my husband has celiac disease and I was very worried he would not have enough things to eat and thought he may get glutened while onboard.
Disney does wonders! He did not get sick one time and it is AMAZING to be somewhere people actually know what gluten is. Each server or assistant knew what it was and where to point us if we had a question about something. I was very happy with how things went. A+++++++

Yes there are many choices
He has celiac and is a picky eater, so if he always felt full I am sure others will be even better off than him!
Wondering if the other cruise lines are as good?
The restaurants and quick service accommodated him. It was wonderful

I had the extreme pleasure of being at an event, and having dinner for a dining partner the head of Special Diets for the parks. He mentioned that he will be taking over Special Diets for the Cruise line, too. He is so VERY conscientious, and very knowledgeable -- when I told him I have non-celiac gluten intolerance, he asked if I'd tried a low-FODMAP diet and if that had worked for me, and seemed honestly interested in my answers.

My wife also has a non-celiac gluten intolerance, and DCL does a great job. It is so nice for her to go on a vacation and not have the wait staff look at her like she has two heads when she asks about gluten-free options.

Our servers never acted like it was a hassle to accommodate her; in fact, it didn't even feel like an "accommodation" at all. They took it in stride as easily as if someone had asked for a Diet Coke instead of a regular Coke. And she has never gotten sick sticking to their GF menu options.
