We had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe on Tuesday night and they sat Gary Sinise, his wife and 2 daughters at the booth right next to ours. I thought my MIL was going to have a heart attack, she was so excited. I had to keep telling her not to bother them. We heard the waiter ask if he'd like to be moved to a more private area, after someone came over and asked for his autograph. He said, he was fine where he was. BTW, he was wearing an Apollo 13 t-shirt. I thought he might be there doing something for the new Bubba Gump restaurant. Their family and ours were leaving at the same time and MIL couldn't help it and had to say something. Gary wasn't with them, but she said something to his wife. I wasn't there at the time, but I guess it was something about her husband making MIL's night.

I think Gary Sinise is a terrific actor! That was nice that you saw him. Could be that he was there promoting Bubba Gump, makes sense.

We have one here in NY and Gary's been there and signed Dan's Getaway sign.

I'd give him a weird look and say "Shouldn't you be over at Epcot, CapCom?"

OMG!! Gary Sinise  I don't think I could have kept eating I would've been in such a state. RIGHT NEXT TO YOU!!! I know I would have made an *** out of myself.

While we were in Citywalk in Feb. my DS and DH were shooting hoops in front of NBA Restaurant and there standing next to them was Roger Clemons and family! It was the highlight of the trip for my son!

I rode the Mummy with Brendan Fraser!!! That is my one and only experience with stardom at Universal.

How cool! I named my son Brendan because I liked his name.

How awesome is that??? :cool1: Wonder how he felt seeing himself at the end being attacked by the Mummy??

Back in the early 90's we saw the dark haired singer from ABBA over at the nick studios. I think her name is Annie or Anne. I went up to her and ask if she minded if I took a picture of her. she was really nice and motioned for my DD to come over and she put her arms around DD and I took their picture. I would show it to you all, but I don't have a scanner at this time.

My other celebrity encounter was one day while at the IOA store I was looking for a t-shirt for DH. there was a fellow who came up right up next to me looking in the same rack of shirts. he was a little to close for comfort so I walked away and told DD that I was irritated because some guy was too close rooting me out of what I was looking for. turns out it was Scott Stapp of Creed.

I saw (former) Pres. Bush and Barbara at EPCOT one day. he waved and smiled at me.

the biggy for my DD was when we saw the "Whose line is it anyway" guys over at MGM. they were outside one night doing something for the BBC and were talking with everybody, taking pictures, talking on peoples cell phones and acting silly. we were this----------------------------------- close standing next to Colin M. DD was tripping! :)

Neat! was that during the time when he and Arnold Vosloo (sp?) were there for the opening? (Mummy) I was in Orlando that day and was nauseated when I found out I missed seeing them. I was at blasted MGM that day and missed it! I think Arnold V. is the sexiest bald man ever. but he HAS to be dressed as Emhotep (sp?) or he doesn't do anything for me. oh well... hey, I hope you bought the picture!

Gary Sinise is one of my all time favorite actors. I loved him in the role of Stewart Redman (sp?) in Stephen Kings movie "The Stand" which is probably my favorite movie of all time.
I bet your MIL will be talking about that for a looong time! :thumbsup2

That was the day!!! We were chosen with a group of others to be in his vehicle and had to hang around so they could film the whole thing. It was pretty exciting but they didn't even give us the photo!!!
