Hello just back from the Aug. 12 sailing of the Dream. Donny Osmond was on the ship for vacation and on the last day he did autograph signings. He was seen in the D lounge and other spots. When I saw it in the navigator I thought, wow Disney does go all out they even have autograph signings, but it turned out he was just on the ship and offered to do it. My question is, if anyone else has experienced celebritites on their cruise? It was a fun touch :)

Donny Osmond!!!! Oh, all the childhood memories are coming back to me!!! I would have been first in line to see those pearly whites:love:

On the EBTA we had Charro. She was actually performing, she was not a guest. She did some coochie coochie, a couple of jokes and mostly played spanish guitar. It was amazing. That cruise we also had the man currently playing Mufassasa on Broadway, Alton White.
On other cruises we have seen Jodi Benson (voice of the Little Mermaid), Susan Egan (original Belle on Broadway), Page Davis from Extreme Makeover Home Edition and Ducky Williams (who is a celebrity to me :goodvibes)
We usually go on the longer cruises, so Disney brings in some extra entertainment. It is always fun to see who shows up!

Wow! Just like The Love Boat!

:rotfl2: You beat me to it!!!!

Although I'm not necessarily a fan of his, I have always heard the nicest things about how Donny Osmond treats people. He has done lots of kind things for strangers over the years.

On my first cruise in 2008, they had Jim Shore onboard. On our at sea day, he was signing his figures. Got one for myself and my sister (best present ever).

He's a great guy! Someone on the cruise bought each one of his figures that were on the ship and had them signed...I wouldn't want to see his bill at the end of the cruise.

Had the chance to meet Donny and Marie in Vegas; they are really lovely and friendly. Had a chance chat with Marie about losing weight and Donny and I compared notes about growing up since we're the same age. How nice of him to offer an autograph session on his own time.

How neat - celebrities need vacations too! I mean, how else are they gonna spend all that money?

I wonder who will come to Hawaii?

On the inaugural Magic in '98, we had Eddie Murphy and family and Danny Bonaduce (Partridge Family) and family. Not super-exciting though ;)

Carlos Delgado was on the Dream June 7-12, 2011. He played baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays.

The woman who played Juliet on Lost was on the first Alaskan. I kept thinking she looked vaguely familiar, but couldn't place her since I stopped watching Lost before she joined the cast. Was with her family.

According to Passporter it is common for Disney to have a celebrity or special guest on the sailings. They never announce in advance, but you can sometimes call to inquire before hand if one will be on yours.

James Belushi was a nice guy to meet as well, and didn't give me a hard time we I accidentally hit him in the mouth with a microphone when he was aboard recording "According to Jim"!

His harmonica playing was great for a deck stage party!

Ex Techie :)

Donnie is a great guy! When he came to the station to be on our morning show there were actually fans waiting outside a 4AM. He stopped the limo got out and signed autographs and talked to the fans.

Here's a photo from back 2002 when he hosted Pyramid.

(Lordie, I've aged a lot in the last decade! :lmao:)

Oh my gosh! Love Donny Osmond!! Always have. Saw Joseph And the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat three times just to see him .

We've had Slash from Guns n Roses on our cruise sailing with his family.

Aly and AJ were on the 2008 EBPC repo. DD was very excited. She packed her Aly and AJ brand shirt for them to sign and they both made a big deal about it. I was impressed at how well they handled themselves at 17 and 19. The autograph session was only supposed to be an hour. We got there 2 hours prior and were in the first 20 people at the end of the hallway of the shops. The line went down the hallway, around the railing of the atrium and continued. They stayed well over 2 hours signing for everyone who was in the line.

We met Cindyana Santangelo onboard...

She was really nice and very down to earth, as was her husband. Her kids & mine just seemed to like hanging out together and we hit it off. I had no idea that she was an actress or anything until we connected on FB!

Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Barbie from Toy Story) was on my TA cruise in September 2010. She was on the trip to perform. Her show was fabulous with stories of our cruise trip, working with Roy Disney and of course The Little Mermaid.
