Has anyone seen anyone famous whilst in WDW?

I've just been reading a similar thread on the main trip planning board and wanted to post MY experiences - but then I thought the Americnas wouldn't know who they were!!! :teeth:

Last time we went we sat next to Prince Naseem Hamed (the boxer) and his family in HISTA - he was soooo short! ...............I didn't tell him that though!!! ;) :hyper:

WE also saw Cannon and Ball and their families - but I don't tend to brag about that one too much! :p It was quite funny ctually as there were all these Brits asking for their autographs and everyone else was just looking as if to say "Who the heck is that?"

So come on then folks - have you shared a Pirates boat with Posh and Becks or even ate lunch next to Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee?!!! Tell All!!!!!!!! :teeth:

We saw Linda Lusardi and Sam Kane at Blizzard Beach just having fun with there family :)

We had Jill Dando as air stewardess for the day on our Britannia flight back in 1996 - she overcharged DH and my sister for their duty free then lost her bottle and wouldn't serve any more.

Somehow we missed him, but when we were at OKW last New Years, we were staying two buildings over from former president Jimmy Carter. Other than that, only person we've ever seen, as I recall, is Billy Joel and his then wife Christy.

Simon Weston & family at Beltz (Falklands Hero).

Sevi Ballesteros & family waiting in front of us in the queue for Toad of Toad Hall (golfer).

Weylon Jennings at MGM - the Americans were going mad for his Autograph, we had to ask who he was (I think he's an American Country singer).

Neil Sedaka and body guard sat next to us at Manchester Airport on our first trip to Disney. He spoke to us for a couple of hours - great down to earth guy. The one thing he said that sticks in my mind was "what an adorable child" (speaking of my then 3 year old son). I just thought he was a really nice, chatty, friendly american - it wasn't until we were boarding the plane that my husband told me who he was - I had no idea who I was talking to ....... doh.

I don't know if I really want to admit to this one, but back in the early nineties at Seaworld we saw Mr Motivator (the fitness guy from GMTV that used to wear the really loud lycra!). He was filming a travel documentary and was fully kitted out in those not so sexy lycra shorts. Not only did I say Hello to him but I had my picture taken with him as well! But before you ask, no! I am not posting it on the boards!

Last year at AKL we had a lovely chat with Trevor Nelson(radio1 DJ), Kate Thornton, and Richard Whitieley, whilst they were filming the holiday programme.

We saw Jonathan Ross, wife and children in Innoventions in August 2002....

Karen

Go on Duggas, show us the photo!!;)

Hi,
We have seen the following people in the Virgin lounge over the years.

Andy Gray
Jane Seymour
Jensen Button
Gary Bushell
Sir Bernard Ingham

We also saw one of the members of the Back Street Boys ( AJ ) in the Gap shop.

We were staying at OKW while Jimmy Carter was there but sadly we didn't see him.

Mick.

:smooth:

Wow - I'm very impressed with all of these "brushes with greatness" :) :)

I have to admit, I've either never seen anyone famous at WDW, or didn't recognize them

oh well, maybe in May .........

Aloha,
Lorraine

My husband once stood next to Jimmy Carter at a urinal in Fort Wilderness. I never seem to notice people around me. Too busy looking at things I guess. Once in Wales we had breakfast at a table next to Barry Gibb. My husband did not tell me we had been sitting next to someone famous until after we left. I was not amused. One more on a long list of reasons he is now my ex.

We must have been at WDW the same week as Profdsny as we also saw Billy Joel and his wife...Feb 1994. He was on the Great Movie Ride behind us and they gave him an entire car to himself!

We also shared a Virgin flight over with Dale Winton in February and he gave DD his peanuts. She was extremely impressed!

Sue! Great memory. I couldn't have began to say when it was.
But you are right.
Btw, we also saw the girl, whose name I forget, who was Sabrina, and Clarissa, on TV when she was there filming a Disney show. She walked into Tony's while we were eating. We never saw our 10yo move so fast as he did going after her for an autograph. Very pleasant.

We saw Richard and Judy(and their children) at Big Thunder mountain on Christmas Day 1997.

John Travolta and his wife and family were in the boat behind us on Splash Mountain. Robin Williams shook both my DD's and my DS's hands when he was going backstage with his daughter after the Xmas Parade. My DD had her photo taken with Gareth Gates a couple of years back in the MK. Michael Eisner signed his autograph and had his picture with DS and DD at MGM. Dare I say that? Finally we all saw Christina Augillera and BB Mac???? filming outside Cindy's castle one Easter time for some Summer Special show being aired on ABC. I think that's it. Oh also someone called Donna of Donnas Day fame which meant nothing to us. She seemed nice though. I also forgot to mention that Simon my DS was interviewed by Trevor Nelson when he was a CM at Epcot for Holiday You Call The Shots and had a piccie with him, and also spoke to Richard Whiteley for the same programme. They were both great guys, and really friendly.

Not quite a Disney park but at the Disney store at Heathrow Melanie Griffiths and Antonio Bandaras and on another day Mel C buying a Buzz for her nephew whilst the other spices waited outside the store

We saw Mark Hughes (ex ManU -UGHH, Everton-hooray etc now Wales manager) and family at MGM in June of 2001

Steve...............
