Does anyone know what perks are given to celebs who go to WDW or DLR following a major accomplishment like MVP of the Super Bowl? I assume they receive first-class air, and a suite at a Disney hotel? DLR doesn't have a Cinderella Castle room like WDW, but would Disney "throw in" a meal at Club 33? I assume they wouldn't have to wait in line for any rides, and would be escorted through the parks for security/crowd control. And i assume they don't do the parade/interviews for free.

There's usually some sort of contract agreed to in advance with a player on each team. They're supposed to say two different versions that then get worked into the commercials. I think one year they actually did it with Steve Young and Jerry Rice together, and they flubbed their lines but Disney Parks took that as an opportunity to do a single ad for WDW and Disneyland.

It's just a typical promotional deal that Disney has with the NFL and the potential players that will attend. It is absolutely paid. I don't know how "special" they make it for them, but Disneyland does have the "Dream Suite" that sits above Pirates of the Caribbean. It's not in the castle, but it's very nice and my understanding is that it cannot be bought.

I think the predominant thing that they do is a parade appearance in the park. I expect that they get premium onsite lodging for at least one night, and probably a plaid to take the family around if they want to enjoy the parks, but I suspect that most of the players just do what they are paid to do: come in, do the parade appearance and then leave.

The OC Register ran a story that said that Mahomes wants Disney to send him to an overseas park if he wins again, having now done the parades at both domestic parks. Seems silly to me; no one in those countries cares at all about the American Super Bowl.

The Dream Suite is now used for the 21 Royal dining experience.

I am awarded complimentary napkins with every visit.

Only the best for my fancy self.

This article? The mention of last minute cancellations from suspected Eagles fans is interesting. I think the idea is that there were lots of Eagles fans planning on going straight from the Super Bowl to Disneyland but then cancelled because they weren't in the celebratory mood they hoped for. It also notes that the previous Super Bowl that he won was in Miami. But the talk about it seems more like he's riffing than serious about it.

Noticeably missing from the crowd: Eagles fans. Magic Key annual passholders in Chiefs colors said last-minute reservations started showing up just before midnight on Super Bowl Sunday — presumably from Philly faithful who canceled plans to celebrate at the Happiest Place on Earth after the devastating last-second Super Bowl loss.
Daily tickets and reservations were available for Southern California Chiefs fans who decided they wanted to see the Disneyland parade for Mahomes.

Mahomes went to Disney World after he led the Chiefs to a Super Bowl win in 2020 over the San Francisco 49ers in Miami — a short trip from Florida’s Magic Kingdom.

If Mahomes wins a third Super Bowl, the Chiefs QB wants Disney to send him to China, Hong Kong, Japan or France for the victory parade.
“I’ve heard Shanghai is a great park,” Mahomes said on Monday during an interview in front of Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle. “I would like to travel to them all at some point. I’ll have to get to work and win some more Super Bowls.”
Where should Disney build another theme park?
“Kansas City wouldn’t be a bad place,” Mahomes said to cheers from the Disneyland crowd.

These "I'm going to Disneyland!" declarations have been around since at least the '70's. They're just ads that Disney pays for.

Michael Eisner claims that the idea as an advertising slogan came from his wife, who heard it from pilot Dick Rutan, who had just flown around the world without refueling along with Jeana Yeager. Not sure exactly what the context was, but I can find the exact snippet from Eisner’s book using Google Books and it’s search text feature.

“Now that you've flown around the world and done the most adventurous thing imaginable,” Jane asked reasonably enough, “what are you going to do next?” “Well, we're going to Disneyland,” he replied sincerely. As soon as she had a chance, Jane pulled me aside and described the exchange. “This would make a great advertising campaign,” she said. By the middle of the night I was addicted ...
