For those who know of my travel plans dilemma, WE FINALLY HAVE DATES. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We now need information. Celebration World Resort is new, so we've never stayed there before. Has anyone from the DIS partaken of their accommodations? If so, how did you enjoy them?

Has anyone taken a timeshare tour who can report on the facility.

Know it's across the road from Wyndham Palms where we have stayed, so know the location is good for us.

Thanks in advance, friends.

I have stayed there with a timeshare trade. It was a very small well equipped 1 bedroom. I enjoyed it and would stay there again. It was nicely decorated and clean. The pool area and landscaping were very tropical and the staff were excellant! I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Thanks, Melynny.

We're going to try for a 2br. With it being so new, you don't know what to expect, but the photos look lovely. Like the fact that you said the staff is friendly.

Love that you can bring your pets, but nobody else wants me to bring the cat along. (Animals need vacations, too!)

:teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

I had to bring a cat with me on another vacation and I was prepared for the worst! Well, he loved it.. and He especially loved the screened porch where we were, Celebration world has one too! Good luck. I was certainly surprised with my cat on vacation, hopfully your's will enjoy it too.

Does Celebration World Resort permit pets for timeshare exchangers? Is there an added fee?

Are there specific sections that allow pets?

Is there any reason to be concerned about getting a room that has had shedding animals inside previously, if one is severely allergic to them?

Thanks for any insights!

The one bedroom did have ceramic floors, with rugs, I would assume to ease clean up. There was a upholstered sofa and some wicker chairs in the living room. I did not see any hairs, of any kind, human or animal in ours. It smelled fresh and clean, but I know that is not a way to tell about dander. I am not sure about charges or even if exchangers are allowed to bring pets. We did have dog in the lockout side of our unit. It was strange to hear him bark, when we returned. It did not bother us at all though.

Can someone describe the kids pool area to me? The pics are not real great on their site. Also, are the whole units tile floors? I hate that with toddlers, so I am really hoping the answer is no.

LisaP, I did see somewhere that they do allow pets and there is a $50 fee. No info on if they keep to one area of the resort though. I have some concerns about that too.

The photo on their website shows one of those umbrella-shaped falling-water things, common to kiddie pool areas. Small children seem to enjoy playing under those. Not much else is shown though.

A poor-quality photo posted in a TUG = Timeshare Users Group resort review, probably taken from an upper floor window, shows a small round kiddie pool with that blue umbrella in the center of it. This is located very near the shallow end of the regular pool (zero entry???). Sorry I can't tell more from the photo. As this is part of a resort review for TUG members only, I cannot post a link with access for you to see it.

About pets, here's a quote from the Celebration World website:
Celebration World Resort is the only Resort in the area, which allows pets. We have special "Pet" designed villas upon request.

Guess that means those special pet-friendly units would be tiled. TUG reviews include at least one review stating their unit was fully tiled and at least one review stating their unit had tile in the kitchen & bath but carpet in the LR & BR.

Thanks for the previous info, all. :)

Well golly gee--went back to the old fashioned method of actually using the phone :jester: There is a toll free number on the site, so I called and got all of my questions answered.

You must request a pet approved villa to get one. They have all tile floors and the other units have tile in kitchen and baths, carpet throuhgout the rest of the unit.

The pool is zero depth entry with the little umbrella/mushroom thing.

and my final question was if I could check in a day late on a timeshare exchange and the answer was yes.

Hope this helps somebody else too! If it goes through, I will be sure to post a review of the resort.
